The rides up to the top were great BUT altitude got to me and I wasn't able to walk the last 100 yds through the tunnel to the ice carvings. There were hundreds upon hundreds of teenagers with skis crowding the tunnel racing to get back to the lifts down not really caring who they ran over. When one of them threw up in the tunnel altitude sickness? that was all for me.

This was a lot of fun, BUT be aware that it can get cloudy in the afternoon and they start shutting the platform down well before 4, I think around 3:30 or maybe even earlier. Also, the snow tubing shuts down even earlier, by about 2. It was extremely disappointing. This needs to be made more clear in the description, so people can better plan their day. With that said, it is a fun trip up and a beautiful view!

Suggest going in the morning as the Matterhorn is often covered by clouds in the afternoon.

Views of the Matterhorn were amazing. I recommend staying at Zermatt a couple of days. Truly a winter wonderland despite the cold temperatures. Take the long cable car ride if you're not skiing and enjoy the views of snow capped mountains. Truly breathtaking.

The view was breathtaking! Stunning! I do not have enough words to describe the beauty of mountains! The wind was quite strong when we went and so the viewing platform itself was closed. However, the view of the glacier was amazing and the view from the gondola was icing on the Matterhorn cake.
The one tip is when you print out your voucher go to the lift ticket window and exchange the paper voucher for lift tickets you can't get on the gondola with the paper voucher.

Amazing experience it was low season so i had the cable car to myself, embracing the great view on the way up. It was cloudy when i got to the top it snowed heavily the day before, but it was still worth the experience. The restaurant had good food, and amazing view, i could sit there all day.

This place is awesome!
Flexible so could start and finish when we wanted and spend as much or little time on each part.
It was sooo cold -20 degrees at the top. A nice day so great visibility and the Matterhorn was spectacular. -
One of the highlights of our trip! Agree with others to bring warm clothes, hat and mittens. Very chill and windy at top.

This was a self guided tour, you can pretty much start it whenever the gondolas are running. After checking in with the ticket office (just present your voucher), get your lift ticket (hold on to it for the entire day), you take 3 gondolas to the top. Walk inside the glacier and see the ice carvings
