I am Shanjei, a former advertising executive from Colombo. A year ago, I quit my job because a)I was intrigued by this magic and mystery Galle Fort had to offer, and b)because I didn’t want to be confined to the concrete jungle of Colombo. Being the kind of inquisitive person that I am, I chased this mystique obsessively so much so that I decided to become a Tour Guide to the fort for people like you. Yes, you. If you like your tours to be interactive, fun and decidedly less history and more story then I am the person you are looking for. Want to learn more about the little nooks and crannies that make Galle Fort less a fort and more a home for its many residents? Bentota is a small town situated on coastal areas in Sri Lanka. Positioned 65 kilometers south of Colombo the capital, in the Bentota region of the Southern Province
It is quite famous for its breath taking view, and especially the Bentota Beach

This is Sri Lanka's oldest light station dating back to 1848, but the original 24.5-metre-high (80 ft) lighthouse built by the British was located about 100 metres (330 ft) from the current site; however, it was destroyed by fire in 1934. The existing 26.5-metre-high (87 ft) lighthouse was erected here in 1939. The original light was furnished with a glass prism lens floating in a bath of mercury (to reduce friction) and was powered by a weight driven machine
