Travel in an air-conditioned mini bus with an experienced guide and stay in comfortable accommodations. Departing Port Elizabeth, this tour gives you the opportunity to view the magnificent Cape Winelands, lush Route 62 and the Knysna region. Travel from Port Elizabeth through the beautiful Tsitsikamma National Park before visiting Knysna and Plettenberg Bay and spending some at the Featherbed Nature Reserve. Leave for the lush Route 62 and visit Oudtshoorn before making a stop in Barrydale en route to the Mother City, Cape Town. Day 1 (D)
Depart Port Elizabeth for Plettenberg Bay. Travel via the coastline to the Tsitsikamma National Park (included in cost). Enjoy lunch (not included in cost) at the scenic Tsitsikamma National Park. Tsitsikamma originates from the Khoi-Khoi language used by the local Inqwa Tribe that lived in the area some 1,700 years ago meaning "a place of many / sparkling / abundant water". Afternoon travel to Plettenberg Bay for overnight and dinner.
Accommodation: Hog Hollow Country Lodge (standard room) / Hunter Country House or similar
Day 2 (B/D)
Go to the Elephant Sanctuary (included in cost). With the help of the resident African elephants and their well-informed guides, you will learn about the sad and mystical story of the Knysna Elephants - the world's Southern most elephants.
After lunch (not included in cost), travel to Plettenberg Bay for a visit to Birds of Eden (included in cost) and an optional Whale and Dolphin experience (not included in cost, subject to availability). Dinner and overnight accommodation in Plettenberg Bay.

Day 3 (B/D)
After breakfast and check-out formalities, proceed on an informative cruise up the Keurbooms River. Continue to the lagoon side town of Knysna.
Enjoy some time at leisure at the Knysna Waterfront Complex before travelling to Oudtshoorn - the 'feather capital' of the world due to its large ostrich industry. Visit a working ostrich farm for a guided tour. Check into your accommodation in the late afternoon before enjoying dinner.

Day 4 (B)
Enjoy a morning tour of the Cango Caves (incl. in cost) in Oudtshoorn, before heading via the R 62 to Barrydale, where we enjoy lunch (not included in cost). Route 62 is the tourist route in the Western Cape, offering the shorter, scenic alternative to the N2 highway. Travel towards Cape Town via the town of Elgin and Sir Lowry's Pass.
