Having the Douro River as background, this tour will take you to discover two of the most exclusive Portuguese wines: the Vinho Verde and the Port Wine.
On the green landscapes of the Vinho Verde region, at its most eastern point, where this region embraces the Douro River, you will find some of the most refreshing exemplars of these wines and you will visit one of the most enchanting properties in the area and taste their products.
Following the river, upstream, appears the enchanting city of Peso da R□gua with its amazing terraces, worked by men for hundreds of years, for the plantation of the vines, which have given origin to the famous Port Wine, as well as the renowned DOC wines. In here will take place the lunch followed by as tasting of this wines in an estate that produces both of them.

The trip was excellent! We were a small group of three, plus our guide Maria. She was very knowledgeable and friendly, sharing lots of information about the region, the people, the food, and of course the wine. The local vineyard owners took a lot of time with us as well, enthusiastically providing us with information and answers to our many questions. They were generous in letting us try many varieties of their products. Maria genuinely cared that we were having a fun, enjoyable tour. She stopped for photos at pretty viewpoints, and made recommendations about the food at the lunch stop in a quaint little town. The van was clean and comfortable for the journey, and Maria was a good driver the roads in some places were quite narrow and steep!. We were dropped off at our hotel when promised in good time for me to get ready for my dinner appointment. All in all, it was a terrific experience, and I would highly recommend it to others.
