Are you ready to eat your way through Porto?
Everyone knows the city is gorgeous, but did you also know that it is delicious? We’ll show you the best of Porto’s famous sights in between sampling some of Porto’s best bites. This Porto tour is one you won’t want to miss.
Throughout this Porto city tour we’ll explore some of the city’s most beautiful sights, like balconies overlooking the river, unexplored streets and alleys, as well as popular taverns, markets, and cafes.
We’ll begin the feast that is this Porto food tour with a typically Portuguese habit: a with a "pastel de Nata" (custard tart), in a cafe that is more than 200 years old.
From there, we’ll taste and talk about the 1001 ways to prepare the "bacalhau" codfish, talk about the influence of our former colonies in our culture and cuisine, understand the connection we have with the river and sea, and learn about the Portuguese navigators and the tragedies Douro River.
Along the way you’ll sample a few authentic local specialties like bolinho de bacalhau (codfish), taste Portuguese comfort food such as a spicy pork sandwich, and be astonished by our mind-blowing cheese and smoked meats
We’ll finish off the tour with an outstanding port wine cocktail and we’ll make a toast our beautiful city (come on, we wouldn’t take you on a tour of Porto and not share our world famous Port wine with you!)行程概要出發地點

Wanted to learn about the real local food of Porto where the locals eat. And we did. The food was delicious although a couple of things were substituted from the write up but still local and still delicious. From Pastel de nata to chamucas to bifana to standing around a barrel in a local butcher shop tasting sausages and cheeses and breads and olives and each 'sample' was a full helping with a local wine or beer to was it down. We ended up in a Port wine cellar having 3 tastings. It was a great way to spend half a day and saw a part of the city we probably would never have gotten to. The guide was very nice but he could have given us a little more background on Portuguese food. All in all a great experience.

The pluses:- delicious pastis de nata- nice people on the tour- interesting local specialities - very nice Port wine at the endThe minuses:- did not learn that much about the region or the city- very little walking as all of the stops were in a small radius

This was a GREAT tour! Our guide was Andreia and she did a wonderful job guiding us thru the city, taking us off the beaten path and sharing her passion and knowledge of Porto. All the food and drink sampled was amazing and full sized portions. Recommend even for the not so adventurous eater.

It was an excellent tour. We did the morning tour. Renato took us to local eateries and we sampled the local food and wines and port at authentic places and were given an excellent background in Port and Portuguese life and customs. highly recommended as a pivotal experience in Porto!!

Excellent tour!!! We went to some food establishments that were off the tourist trail, but frequented by locals, that had amazing food. We loved it so much, that we went back there several more times. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Porto and all of Portugal. He also knew a lot about wines. The sommelier we had at the wine bar was also excellent. If you're a foodie and want to experience a country's culture through food and wine, you should take this tour.

A fantastic tour and lots to eat and drink. Our guide was brilliant and with just four of us on the tour we had a very personal experience with plenty of opportunities to chat, ask questions and take photo's.

Disappointing.
Started in a caf□ with coffee and Nata delicious! Then on to a bar for a beer and spicy pork sandwich tasty, then to a restaurant for chorizo, croque monsieur and a glass of Vinho Verde. Not very exciting. in Porto but no Port!! The tour guide was a pleasant local young man with excellent English. He answered our questions well but didn't seem to have much to say. Only 5 in the group which was good but didn't feel we got value for money given how cheap Porto is for food and drink -
First of all, a lot of food! I liked it! Nice tour with born and raised person in Porto. I didn't feel like a tour, more going out with somebody you know already a very long time.
