    The new EU-quality 3-geared hub city bikes allow you to effortlessly make the journey from Old Town to the beaches of Porto, across the City Park, and to Gaia for a waterfront stroll. Our carefully chosen route stays mostly on cycle paths through parks and other pedestrian areas. It is a safe and comfortable ride for anyone who is able to ride a bike.
    Points of interest include Alfndega do Porto, the Tram Museum, the Arr□bida Bridge, Cantareira, Passeio Alegre Garden, So Joo da Foz Castle, Foz do Douro Breakwater, Foz Beaches, and Queijo (cheese) Castle.
    Other stops and activities may include bird watching at Calem Garden, crossing the river by boat, and visits to the Matosinhos Beaches, City Park, Pasteleira Garden, the fishing village of Afurada, the Natural Reserve of Douro Estuary and Bird Observatory, Cellars Porto Wine, the Lu□s I Bridge, St. Francisco Church, and the Parish of Miragaia.

    The bikes were comfortable, the route was nice and the tour leader was friendly enough. However she didn’t know much about the history of Porto (such the age of the forts, the background of the park, etc). On past bike tours we have booked through Viator, the tour leader was very concerned about rider safety., ie making sure everyone got across the intersections safely. This leader didn’t help with crossing busy streets as others have done. One of our riders fell. She didn’t realize for several minutes (kept riding ahead) nor did she come back to check on the rider or the rest of the group that stayed with him as he recovered.

    An excellent all-around cycling tour! The bikes are top-notch and the tour guide was excellent! The route takes you along the river from the historic center of Porto to the Ocean and then through the biggest city park with a return via Gaia and the Port cellars! Highly recommended!
