Yakushima is a moss green island that is a botanical treasury plenty of forests, where islanders live by strictly following along the four seasons more closely than anywhere else in Japan.
This island didn't get the title of UNESCO's World Natural Heritage site for no reason.
If you want to understand and experience what Yakushima is about, this half-day tour is perfect for you. The kayaks that you will be provided are very stable so will not have to worry about paddling into the emerald green forest. In the summer, you can even dive into the crystal-clear water.
