Meet your private guide at your hotel at your departure time and start your cultural tour into the immenseness of Indian Mythology.
First, your guide will take you to the ancient Jakhoo Temple. It is an ancient temple in Shimla, dedicated to Hindu deity, Hanuman. The temple has a mythological story attached to it dating back to the battle between Lord Rama and Ravana at Lanka.Your guide will explain the history of this temple. Here, you will attend morning Aarti ceremony. Aarti is a devotional ritual that uses fire as an offering. It's usually made in the form of a lit lamp. After taking the blessing of God and enjoy the morning prayer with music and bells, you will proceed to the next temple, Kali Bari.
The Kali Bari temple is one amongst the most revered Kalika (embodiment of Goddess Shakti) temples in India. This temple was built in the year 1845 and is dedicated to Goddess Kali who is also known as Shyamala, which means that the temple has miraculous powers to fulfill all the desires of its devotees. It is from the name of Goddess Shyamala that Shimla derives its name. Explore this interesting legend as with your expert guide who will explain to you the significance of prime deity.
Later on, you will enjoy Indian breakfast with tea to regain energy. Your guide will take you local restaurant where you will enjoy the breakfast.
After breakfast, your guide will take you to the Sankat Mochan Temple, which is also dedicated to the Lord Hanuman. This temple is located at place where one can actually meditate and enjoy the calm and peaceful vicinity. Here, you will find lush, green trees surrounding the Sankat Mochan Temple. Your guide will tell you the story of this temple as well.
