We meet at the Brno Main Station at 9:00 a.m.
We directly go to the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul which is considered as the main Brno dominant. The Church blends Romanesque and Gothic style and what is more, the bell rings at 11 o clock! The next stop will be the UNESCO sight Villa Tugendhat* which is ranked among one of the first prototypes of European modern architecture.* After the excursion of villa, we come back to the city centre and go up in order to visit 13th century castle `pilberk. Actually, `pilas as locals called it, was turned to prison in the 19th century and got nickname “the prison of the nations” because almost all Austro-Hungarian Empire criminals were hidden right there.
After lunch at local restaurant, we visit Freedom Squere “N□m□st□ Svobody” where we could admire almost all style of architecture from Renaissance building “Dom P□no z Lip□” to the modern controversial Brno clock. We also take a look inside the Church of St. James and its Ossuary. The Labyrinth under the Cabbage Market is our last stop before tasting a beer in very famous pub called “V ep Na Stoj□ka”(Na stoj□ka means stand up) where you could enjoy the best regional beers.
The expected end of our tour is about 7 p.m.
*Visiting of Villa Tugendhat depends on availability of tickets. And that is why; the price of the ticket is not included in this tour.
