Make your way to the historic seaside village of Cowichan Bay, 45 minutes north of Victoria and 45 minutes south of Nanaimo. Meet up with passionate guides who love sharing Vancouver Island’s marine ecosystem, then get fitted with a warm flotation suit, gloves, a hat, goggles, and sunglasses. It's also a good idea to wear a warm sweater or jacket and comfortable pants, and to bring sunscreen and a camera.
There's rich and abundant marine wildlife found along the shores of southern Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands, and you'll watch for orca whales, humpback whales, grey whales, minke whales, harbor porpoises, Dall's porpoises, sea lions, bald eagles, and a variety of bird species.
The landscape of southern Vancouver Island is just as remarkable, and the route passes rock bluffs, tidal pools, and sandy beaches before returning to the original departure point.行程概要出發地點

So AMAZING!!! This has been on my bucket list for 30 yrs and it was absolutely amazing! Tour guides were excellent - very informative and friendly.

Great 4hrs watching 3 Humpback whales. Got close enough to get great photos but not close enough to disturb the whales. Disappointed not to see Orcas but the water was quite choppy and they were quite a distance away. Saw (and smelt!) a colony of sea lions and harbour porpoises. Great guides!

Truly an amazing experience. Gary our guide is an expert and made the excursion enjoyable by explaining the history and outstanding relationship with the local whales. Lots and lots of sightings. I'd highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area.

It took an very long time to get to the few Orcas that we saw and the boat stayed a great distance from the orcas. We barely saw a form in the water. It was chilly returning the 1.5 hours on the trip back. We saw on humpback from a very long distance away. Something is wrong if there are all the whales to view from Vancouver Island. Not worth the time or money.

Excellent 4 hour whale watching tour. Small group boats for a more personal experience. Captain Gary is highly knowledgeable about the whales and makes the tour very educational. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Overall, a great tour!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! This was one of the best experiences I've ever had in my life! We took the sunset option and it was so stunning! We had heard that the sightings leaving from Cowichan Bay were better than the ones from Victoria so we went for this tour and it was totally worth it! We felt very lucky as it took us just a few minutes to get to see the killer whales and there weren't boats nearby at the time too! Some boats that came all the way from Victoria and other places just arrived later think of the extra sighting time we got while this people spent it travelling all the way there!. The tour guide was so good, very experienced and passionate, we learnt so much from him! We got to also see porpoise, seals, eagles and seabirds as well as to explore that coastal area which was really nice. I could not recommend this tour more, we had the best time!
