    Your 90-minute walkingtour begins at Earl Grey's Monument, located in the city center of Newcastle upon Tyne. Follow your guidedown Grey Street for a chilling introduction tohow medicine was practicedinthe past. Arriving at Dean Street you will stop at the site of the oldTurf Hotel, then continue on foot to Quayside, home toboth notorious and sympathetic characters.
    Along the way, listen toblood-curdling tales ofcriminals, surgeons of low moral standard, and thosewho summoned or claimed to resurrect spirits from the dead.
    After walkingalongnarrow streetsfor a glimpse into the lives of Newcastle's formercitizens, proceed with your guide tothe area ofDog Bank. The routethen rejoins Dean Street and proceedsto Castle Keep and then to Bigg Market past St. Nicholas. You then head along High Bridge Street and finish at the monument where yourtour began.

    My teacher visited me in Newcastle for a few hours, so I booked this tour not knowing what to expect. He is a traveler and would appreciated a trip filled with interesting information, very organized, and showed the most significant spots of the city.

    Furthermore, the scary but intriguing stories made it even more interesting. The tour guide was well-informed, answered all of our questions with details making sure we fully understand.

    As a student here for only a few months, I did not realize that what I know about the city is just the tip of the iceberg.

    Booking was also very flexible, as I booked just a day earlier and postponed the booking from the 10AM to the 2PM.

    Overall, I am very happy and pleased with this journey, and will recommended to my friends who are visiting or even friends that have been here for a while.

    Excellent tour really enjoyed the personal experience we shared with our very knowledgeable guide, who was a very interesting story teller about practices and characters that lived in Newcastle many years ago. Great storey about a huge disaster that led to the whole of the quayside being rebuilt thanks to queen Victora. Would definitely recommend this tour, wether your from Newcastle or further afield, we come from Newcastle but up till now knew very little about our nearest city.
