After pick up by bus, our driver will drop you off in Cala Morell where the route begins. Here, on its cliffs we can see an important necropolis from the Talayotic era formed by fourteen caves artificially excavated in the rock. Continue in the direction of Punta Nati. This section of the Cam□ de Cavalls runs entirely through what is known as dry Menorca, with a very arid landscape where the north winds have created a desolate landscape.
Here are the endemic species such as rosemary, heather and the popular Camamil la, camomile of Menorca. Punta Nati found the lighthouse built in 1913 as a result of the sinking of the French ship, G□n□ral Chanzy. On 10th February 1910 it ran aground on the coast with 157 people on board. There was only one survivor.There is a cross that remembers the tragedy. Near the lighthouse we also find a semi-buried military battery built during the Civil War by the Republican army to defend the coasts.
From here the path continues to the south through its calcareous landscape and various coves such as Cala des Corbetar from where we can admire the Pont d’en Gil a bridge of natural rock modeled by the marine erosion in whose vicinity is located a cave of three hundred meters deep.From this point to the port of Ciutadella the Cam□ de Cavalls runs for 5 km along paved roads that border the coastline. The path ends in Ciutadella. No return transfer is provided.
