Have fun riding a Vespa along the scenic and peaceful roads on the Tuscan hills. An alternative way to admire the sights of Chianti, wrapped in the perfumes of the Tuscan countryside and the sound of the working farms. You can join the tour every day and enjoy this experience together with our escorts, who will be showing you around small medieval villages situated in the heart of Tuscany. You'll see Castellina in Chianti the village located in the heart of Chianti Area and also the Fortress of Monteriggioni that looks like the crown of the king due to its unique shape. Those who do not feel confident enough about riding on their own can opt for riding with one of our expert escorts. The tour along the Chianti hills lasts all day. The tour was the perfect way to see Tuscany and the winery was a great choice for lunch. Delicious food and good wine!
We had not anticipated how much time was going to be wasted though. We had to meet at the bus station at 7:15 for pick up, but they didn’t arrive until 7:45am. We arrived in Florence at 8:20, checked in and then waited around until 9:15am. Then we drove to Sienna (another hour), then had to have everyone practice on a single Vespa. The group was so large that we didn’t even leave until 11:40am. There weren’t enough Vespas for all the people signed up, so some had to double up or drive in a Fiat.
Since we were so behind schedule, we didn’t get a chance to stop at a single place to take pictures of the beautiful panoramic setting. That was disappointing!
It was a fun and unique experience we will talk about for years, but I’d check into the specific details of other tours and pick something else next time!
