Meet your private driver and guide at 8:00am near the exit gate at the La Spezia port. Begin your 1-hour 45 minute drive to the center of the Renaissance, Florence. Upon your arrival in the city center, discover the city's prominent landmarks as your driver gives you historical and cultural background information.Visit the splendid Gothic church of Santa Croce that holds the tombs of famous artists and writers such as Michelangelo, Galileo and Dante as well as being a renowned leather school. Discover splendid piazzas such as Piazza del Duomo along with the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Giotto's Tower, Piazza della Repubblica, and more.
Take an optional tour of the Accademia and walk by the Uffizi Gallery as you stroll the streets. Break for lunch, then in the early afternoon, bid farewell to Florence, then travel to the 11th century powerful maritime republic of Pisa, Drive through the city to arrive at the heart of one of the most important monuments in Italy, the breathtaking Piazza dei Miracoli. Observe the Baptistry, Cathedral, Campo Santo cemetery and of course the Leaning Tower of Pisa. We needed a driver to get from La Spezia to Florence and Pisa and back. We had a good one. His personality helped the kilometers fly by and then he gracefully navigated through the narrow streets and by ways. Although we only had one day for this excursion, it was a full day and we saw a remarkable range of sites. When time permits, we would like to come back to get more details and history.

Alessandro was the very best driver/guide we had in Italy. The van was impeccable. We went to Pisa and then to Florence. Alessandro was a wonderful driver - was able to get us up close to everything we wanted to see. We even went off the beaten path to see some beautiful views of Tuscany. In just one day, we managed to see all the main sites and even had time for the best pizza and gelato in Florence. Great day and a real highlight for my family. Thank you!

Giovanni is absolutely the best! Since we were there on Monday the museums were closed but Giovanni has suggesting for us. Pisa was amazIng as was Florence. We had a delious lunch in the square.

Our driver, Carlo, picked us up at our villa right on time, and proceeded to do an excellent job of both driving and narrating our day's adventures...we went to Pisa first, then headed for Florence. He found parking close by, and directed us precisely when we slipped in to see 'David' for an hour...He delivered us back to our villa after an excellent day!

The whole trip to Pisa and Florence was PERFECT. Giovani was waiting for us and drove us to Pisa and Florence. He spoked very good english and sapnish. He was an excellent guide and explained us the detailed story of all we saw. The van was very clean and bottled water was available.

This was an amazing excursion. Highly recommend private tours as you can go places where bus cannot travel. Well worth any extra expense. Loved our tour guide Alexander
