We begin with a short train ride into the heart of the Cinque Terre.
Take a moment to enjoy the stunning surroundings before walking down to the harbour for a comfortable boat trip, here you can experience the dynamic coastline from the sea.
Arriving at an ancient Cinque Terre village, we take in the stunning surroundings and 12th century architecture, before making our way up to the stunning location with breathtaking views over the Ligurian sea.
In a relaxed environment we sample some high end Italian wines, for white lovers perhaps a classic Cinque Terre white, grown on the surrounding terraces visible from our location, or delicious sparkling Prosecco from north of Venice, of a quality that would be rare to find outside Italy.
Add to this an 'Antipasti di mare', traditional anchovies from Monterosso which have been fished for centuries in the surrounding sea, the star of the local cuisine.
For those that prefer red maybe an original Barbera d'Alba accompanied by local cheese and salami..
The tour will officially end here, where you have the opportunity to enjoy some free time to explore the ancient village, take a swim, or for the more adventurous a hike along one of the walking trails. Alternatively. you can return with the guide on the train to La Spezia station.Your guide will supply all guests with a Cinque Terre pass, this gives you access to the walking trails and also the train pass to explore further villages. My family and I had a great time on this tour, Cinque Terre is absolutely breath taking and if you are considering seeing it in a day you should really take this private tour. A relaxing private boat ride as well as private wine tasting with an unforgettable view... you can't beat that!

If you want to see the best of Cinque Terre in just a day this is the trip to take! Gary was excellent and we loved that the boat ride and wine tasting were private because we got to have everything to ourselves! We loved the idea of a boat tour as opposed to other walking tours because we had two grandmothers with us on the trip, and so this made life much easier for them! There was still a little bit of walking as well as climbing stairs but overall they were able to do it and we were all very happy with our day.

Amazing! I have to be honest, we were a little skeptical about taking this tour at first because it is new on the site and there was only one review at the time of booking. But I am so glad we took the leap anyway! Having a private tour in this area is really so special. We got to be on the boat privately, then stop in Vernazza for an EXCELLENT and private wine tasting with delicious snacks too. Gary was a very friendly and helpful guide, we were so lucky to spend the day with him. Overall perfect day!

Highlight of our trip! Our guide, Gary, was very personable and knowledgable, feeding us tidbits of interesting history of Cinque Terre. The ride in our own personal boat was so enjoyable, and we found that you are missing out if you don't experience Cinque Terre from the sea...absolutely stunning. The location of the wine tasting was in a fabulous location hidden high above the sea, ascending beautiful old stone steps to an open patio. The view will take your breath away, as does the whole experience with the sommelier and his chosen wines. We were a family with grown children. Would highly recommend!
