This was a long afternoon with a lot of travel time involved. It is a large coach tour, and as they do pick-up and drop-off at the hotels, it takes quite a while to get everyone on board and dropped off at the end. For those opting for San Giulio island as well, this involves taking a ferry that makes multiple stops along Lake Orta think: water bus before reaching San Giulio. Lake Orta and San Giulio are quite nice places to visit, having said that. Could have done without the last stop to the oversized statue of San Carlo Borromeo.

Excellent tour of Lake Orta. I really enjoyed the town of Orta and hiking up to the church at the top. Great views of the surrounding area, absolutely beautiful!
