Your trip will start with a 9:00am pickup from your hotel in Melbourne. Travel over the famous West Gate Bridge, from which can be seen a gorgeous view of the port and center of the city. Then, travel down the highway toward the start of the Great Ocean Road, considered to be one of the most picturesque ocean roads in the world. Here you will find captivating ocean landscapes, long deserted beaches and an incessant roar of the surf, while national parks with waterfalls and wildlife are located along the coastline. Make your first stop at Bells Beach, renowned among surfers, where you will have the opportunity to marvel at the surrounding shoreline panorama.
Further down the road, you will cross the geographic border of two oceans, the Pacific and Indian, at the Split Point Lighthouse. Be sure to get some memorable photos of your adventure in front of a memorial arch.
Stop in the small town of Apollo Bay for lunch where you will be offered the freshest fish and seafood (at your expense), which will be prepared right in front of you. Vegetarian meals also available if you wish.
After lunch, you will take a short stroll in an Australian rainforest amongst century-old giant eucalyptus trees and arborescent ferns.
The highlight of your trip will be a visit to Australia’s icons, The Twelve Apostles. The memories of this view of cliffs towering over the raging ocean will stay with you for life. Next, you will walk down the Gibson Steps and onto the beach at the foot of the Apostles, where you will have another chance to assess the greatness of these natural monuments. It is also recommend that you book a short helicopter flight above The Twelve Apostles (additional cost).

We are lucky to have Micheal as our guide, he is a very good driver, know the Great Ocean Road in and out, stop at all the spectacular view points all throughout our 12 hrs trip. He is a Russian Immigrant who spoke perfect English , highly educated, like to write poem and compose song , he had his own CD in Russian, and share with us all along the trip. Overall its a wonderful trip highly recommended. Will post a photo of him with my wife Grace underneath.

Driver did an excellent job of getting us to different sites but was very weak on commentary and History of visited areas.
Paid a lot for this tour and expected an experience Guide. -
Max, our guide, made sure all our interests for two couples fit into the itinerary, and he was engaging and informative. It was a terrific trip.

Booked this tour 6 months ago. Was so excited because of the reviews we read. Turns out this company subbed out our tour and we spent 12 hours with a tour guide who knew NOTHING!! and English was his second language. I would call him a driver but not an expert travel guide. We had to use up our data plan on our phone just to google information about the areas we were visiting. Plenty of companies do this tour. I'd look around before booking with bilby travel
