The reef and island is a signature scenic flight from Airlie Beach.
Begin your tour 45-60 minutes before departure time, with hotel/accommodation pickup.
The 60-minute flight includes all of the best sites the Whitsundays and Great Barrier Reef have to offer. It’s easy to understand why the Great Barrier Reef is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, the amazing contrast of colors is something that’s best experienced from the air.
Taking off from Whitsunday Airport, your tour takes you over most of the 74 islands in the Whitsundays. You'll see the island resorts dotted around the islands as you head toward Whitehaven Beach and the renowned Hill Inlet.
Enjoy two passes of Australia's best beach and then head out to the Great Barrier Reef. Included in your tour is the famous Heart Reef, nestled amongst the bright colors and patterns of Hardy Reef. On board, everyone enjoys a window seat, a pilot commentary and superb views from our fleet of high wing aircraft.

Great experience, the best way to appreciate the vastness of the reef and the beauty of the Whitsundays. I was a bit nervous because the plane is small and the weather was quite dynamic but the flight was really enjoyable even with some bumps. The pilot was very kind, made us feel welcome and gave a nice commentary. Everything was very well organised. Definitely worth it!

Well worth the money the flight over the reef gives you a whole new perspective. A very professionally run experience with great staff. If you could only afford one big ticket item on your visit to the Whitsundays this is the one that I would do.

One of our favourite tours ever! Best views of Great Barrier Reef, including the Heart Reef, and also of the Whitsunday Islands. The tour was everything we had hoped for and a great value for the price, truly. You will NOT regret the investment!!

Definitely a must do at Airlie Beach! Whitehaven Beach was spectacular. Heart Reef was overrated but the trip was good.

Amazing trip. We did an hour over the whitsunday islands and Great Barrier Reef. Seeing Whitehaven beach and hill inlet from the air is absolutely spectacular. It is also amazing to see the Great Barrier Reef from the air. Amazing tour, well worth doing! Would highly recommend. Plane ride was smooth and comfortable. Pilot was great.

I booked the scenic flight for my first day in Airlie Beach. However, my flight to Prosperine was delayed and I arrived in Airlie Beach one day later. I informed the tour organizer right away and they simply rescheduled me to another day at no extra charge. I was extremely grateful.
The experience itself was great! I could sit next to the pilot and took some stunning pictures. : I especially enjoyed the flight over the three reefs. I'd recommend the scenic flight to everyone!
