You can choose to make your Own way to Abell Point Marina (paid parking at South end $10), or select their Courtesy Bus Pick up / Drop off service from your Airlie Beach accommodation. Getting from and returning to your Airlie Beach accommodation is very comfortable on board one of the Whitehaven Xpress courtesy transfer buses, which we recommend.
Upon check-in, you will asked to complete a tablet for safety requirements.
The highlight of this cruise is the Whitehaven Beach BBQ with steaks cooked to order served with cold beers and refreshments!
This day tour is an authentic "Aussie" experience!
Whitehaven Xpress offers 2 hours on Whitehaven Beach, (not too long and not too short) where they provide you with a satisfying Aussie Beach BBQ including steak, sausages, chilli burgers, salads and tropical fruits. (Vegetarians, Fish & Chicken diets are catered for with prior request). The Whitehaven Beach BBQ is prepared for your enjoyment under the shade of the National Park. Picnic tables with proper crockery and cutlery too!
Experience the spectacular views from Hill Inlet Lookout after a short guided walk following the path along diverse vegetation and learn the history of the Ngaro peoples. Hill inlet is the most spectacular and most photographed location in the Whitsundays. You will need to see the shifting white silica sands and aqua waters from above to appreciate these unparalleled views.
Snorkeling from Airlie Beach is a must, immerse yourself in the water above a fringing reef system and explore for marine species from Turtles, the awesome Wrasses, Clown Fish (Nemo) to the elusive Mantarays. If you don't swim or want to stay dry, be sure to try the guided glass bottom boat tour to witness the mystical world of marine life. All snorkel equipment including FINS and floatation devices are provided on this tour which makes for a more enjoyable experience than bare feet only.

This was a great trip and the staff were really friendly. The sights you see and the scenery are just amazing. The bbq on the beach was great too and included a vegetarian option for me.

This was a fun day or snorkeling, site seeing and swimming. The BBQ was fantastic and the tour guides were personable and helpful. Unfortunately, the coral is pretty bleached and we didn't see too many different types of marine life although the guides did their best feeding the fish so they would swim closer to where we were snorkeling. Definitely pay the 8 for the stinger suit. We saw some massive jellyfish. The day was set so it was the perfect amount of activity and time to relax. I would highly recommend.

Very disappointed with this one.
Rushed to and from the hill inlet by the tour operator, had less than 5 minutes (of an 8hr day) to take photos over Whitehaven (which is the whole point of going there).
The "glass bottom boat" is a tiny window in the bottom of a dingy. Couldn't see a thing. -
The experience was amazing! Boat, hike, beach, snokel and lunch were all top notch.
Great crew that obviously like what they do.
One small change would be to organize pickup online. As a tourist calling to arrange pickup is difficult and the was no in town office that we could find to ask. We found it and it was worth it! -
The view of Whitehaven beach from the lookout is just amazing. The BBQ lunch on the beach was also great. We were just a bit disappointed by the snorkelling material. The captain Dan was a fun guy with stories about shark bites and all. Unfortunately the other 2 crew members were borderline rude.

An outstanding experience! The cruise was amazing with a very friendly and efficient crew with a very nice atmosphere, given the small group of passengers. The highlight was Whitehaven beach lookout but we did see a lot more: snorkeling to see beautiful corals more colourful than at the reef!, time at Whitehaven beach to walk great BBQ lunch made by the crew and amazing sights of whales 6 which we could thoroughly watch, given the captain patience to stop the boat every time we caught sight of one

My family and I had the most amazing time in the Withsundays during this trip! Jill and Terry helped us in everything we needed making us enjoy as much as possible. Lunch was perfect, same as all the activities!

Friendly, helpful staff, comfortable small boat in a beautiful island waterway made this trip a day to treasure. The food was excellent, even the sae gulls wanted some. Coffee was top notch as was the cheese and bickies, Shane's mothers home made cheese was a real hit Shane was our skipper. Whatever you do at Airlie Beach don't miss Whitehavern Xpress' boat trip. Oh, we also saw whales on our way home.
