    Mesa Verde Discovery Tours are led by knowledgeable and qualified guides so that you can experience the full tour! With their guidance you will learn about the history, culture, and architecture of the sites and dwellings you will visit. Tour vehicles are air conditioned and comfortable. Save car entrance fees and gas, while you sit back, relax and take in all the historic sights and intriguing information!
    You will meet at the main office in the early morning. Then you will sit back and relax on the scenic 30-minute drive to Mesa Verde National Park. Your first stop is the visitor center, inside the park, for a great orientation. Next, discover Cliff Palace, believed to hold special significance to the Ancestral Puebloans. Enjoy a delicious boxed lunch catered by a favorite bakery. Then explore Spruce Tree House, the third largest cliff dwelling in the park. Return to the main office in the early evening.

    Confirmation will be received at time of booking You must bring your own car seats for children who require them. CO Car Seat Law states that children up to 8 years old must be in an appropriate car seat. Sunglasses, hats, sunscreen, and water are recommended. Dress in layers. Summer is cool in the morning and hot by the afternoon. Bring a warm coat, hat, and gloves for fall, winter, and spring.

    Even though we'd lived in Colorado for over 50 years, we'd never been to Mesa Verde. We are SO glad we did this tour when we finally decided to visit. Our guide, Kellie, was so knowledgeable and charming that we feel like we know so much more about this place and culture than we ever could have if we'd just gone through on our own. On the ride from Durango (which was very comfortable), she gave us a nice, comprehensive history of the pueblan peoples and Mesa Verde itself. Then, once we were in the park, she took us to the popular - and not as popular - places, and helped us understand the history and significance of each. Her passion for Mesa Verde and this culture was apparent throughout the day, and that she shared it with us was a special treat!

    This is a tour you would want to take with a guide. There is so much to learn about the peolpe and their way of life .

    My 16 year old nephew was visiting. I booked this trip because he likes history. Our guide Jay was excellent. He gave us a lot of interesting information about Mesa Verde and kept us very entertained.

    The cliff dwellings are something that everyone should see. Very amazing! You do have to walk a lot for the Longhouse tour and if you have problems with vertigo like me it can be kind of scary but it's so worth seeing.
