This deluxe excursion is designed to provide you with a detailed account of life and times in Ephesus. You’ll visit both the Open Air Museum of Ephesus and the separate museum of the Terrace Houses, also known as the houses of the rich. During your visit to Ephesus, you’ll see the Gate of Magnesia, the Odeon, the Fountain of Trajan, the steam baths of Scholastica , Temple of Hadrian and the most famous structures - the Library of Celsus and the Grand Theater.
The Terrace Houses are still being excavated. They had interior courtyards with open ceilings and were decorated with mosaics and frescoes. They even had plumbing and running hot and cold water. The visit to the Terrace Houses will give you an understanding about the Ephesians and their way of life. Stop for a presentation of traditional Turkish carpet presentation on the way to your ship.
