Alternatively, make your own way to the departure point.Board your prettily illuminated boat and sip a welcome cocktail as you cruise onto the open waters of the Bosphorus; the strait that divides Istanbul between Europe and Asia.Admire this scenic stretch of water as the sun sinks behind the city’s picturesque skyline. Glide past Ottoman summer palaces and mansions, and look for landmarks such as the Kiz Kulesi tower, Dolmabah e Palace and Blue Mosque. Take photos, too, as you float under the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge, with its illuminations shining brightly in the dusk.Savor a delicious New Year’s Eve dinner of Turkish dishes served with unlimited local beers, spirits and soda. See the Itinerary for a sample menu. Imported drinks are available to purchase from the onboard bar.As you dine, enjoy a colorful Turkish show of singing, dancing and entertainment. Be swept up by traditional Turkish music and Anatolian and Romany folk dances, and watch a spellbinding belly dancing display, as exotically costumed dancers shimmy around the tables.As midnight nears, join in the countdown and toast the New Year with Champagne. Then, enjoy grandstand views of the celebratory fireworks as a huge display crackles and bursts above the Bosphorus.Afterward, hit the dance floor as a DJ spins international and Turkish tunes.
