Great tour and awesome guide. The guide knew Peter Jackson and had taken him on personal tours in the past.

I would have given this tour five stars because of the great guide Bulent that took us around the battlefields except for the bad treatment I received from the local supplier Crowded House tours. Despite only four people including myself on the bus from Istanbul and the other three were a family - I was given a pickup time between 6am and 7am and it was close to 7am before I was picked up. The person accompanying us from Istanbul delivered us to Crowded House tours in Eceabat. After lunch we set off for Kabatepe and Anzac Cove, then stopped at all the memorials and cemeteries Lone Pine, Johnstons Jolly, the Turkish 57th Regiment cemetery, the Nek and Chunuk Bair. Bulents commentary brought the battle scenes alive for me, and I was able to pay my respects to the several members of my family that fell at Gallipoli. It was very cold on the battlefields and the small group size meant we were back at Eceabat by 4pm. As the other clients were staying in the area to do more tours I was told that I would be driven back to Istanbul by car. The driver was a very big man and he and his friend sat in the front of the car with their seats well back and there was very little leg room. I am an older lady and suffer from knee problems and the 4 hour plus drive back to Istanbul was absolute agony because of the pain in my knees. Both men absolutely reeked of cigarette smoke which affects my asthma.
Apart from these issues I would recommend the tour. Gallipoli is part of our National Heritage and it was a privilege to be able to visit there and follow in the footsteps of my relatives
