    Coffee is national drink of Turkey that has a long historical tradition. Its story began in Egypt, where the Ottomans brought the first coffee beans to Istanbul in 1519. The first coffee shops were open some 30 years later in Eminonu district. There were prohibition decrees by some Ottoman Sultans. Our tour begins with “Coffee Route”  where we will have coffee tasting in these historical venues. Tiny streets, historical walkways, intriguing old bazaars, Ottoman coffee storages. On route, we will visit Haci Bekir, Confectioner, specialized in traditional sweets such as Turkish delight, hard candy. Tour finishes with a Turkish coffee making course where participants will get certificate at the end, and a guide that will exhilarate the past and make your day valuable is the event of this day.

    I had the most amazing afternoon on the Istanbul Coffee tour. The guide Ilker, was just fantastic and made it very special with his vast local knowledge and enthusiasm. The coffee making class was fun too! I would highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for something a bit different to do in Istanbul.

    Serhat took my husband and I on a coffee tour and coffee making class. I don't even drink coffee I drank chai and I still thoroughly enjoyed the tour and the class. Getting to meet, chat and drink coffee with the local people in the coffee shop was fantastic. Interesting and fun tour.

    I do not typically review tours but this company and tour must have a high recommendation. It was necessary for me to change my date and they accommodated me with a simple phone call request. The tour guide was outstanding and this tour is a wonderful way to experience Istanbul from a different perspective - while enjoying exceptional coffee along the way!
