產品介紹
Start your tour with a pickup from your hotel in the Sultanahmet or Taksim areas of Istanbul, or meet your guide at a central location. Then, travel by air-conditioned minivan to your first stop and listen to commentary about the city, from its more-turbulent times as Constantinople to the cosmopolitan city that it is today.Hop out at Hagia Sophia, view the exterior and head inside with your guide. Admire its dome and gold Byzantine mosaics on the walls as you hear tales about the UNESCO-listed building. Built as a church in the 6th century, Hagia Sophia later served as a mosque before it was converted to a museum.Visit the Blue Mosque, another of Istanbul’s must-sees. Marvel at the minarets and domes of the 17th-century mosque and then tour the interior to see its stained windows and blue 0znik tiles.Continue to the Hippodrome, site of Constantinople’s ancient chariot-racing arena. See the intricately carved Obelisk of Theodosius that marks the site, and see the last remains of the arena as your guide recounts the sports, riots and executions that took place here.Your tour then ends at a central location or your Sultanahmet or Taksim hotel. Please note: Hagia Sophia is closed on Mondays, and your visit will be replaced with a visit to the Basilica Cistern. The Blue Mosque is closed on Fridays and if your tour falls on this day, an alternate attraction may be visited instead.行程概要出發地點
