Blessed with untouched lush forests and mountain ranges, Krabi’s only National Park is an escape from the crowds.
It also boasts Krabi’s highest altitude at 1,397 meters above the sea level, home to natural wonders like waterfalls, streams and caves. A perfect habitat for wild animals from Asian tapirs, Sumatran serows, Asiatic black bears and 218 bird species such as eagles, hornbills and woodpeckers.
The park is only a 30-minute drive from Krabi town and is definitely worth a visit for those who are concerned about elephant welfare. The elephants belong to the locals and are treated like a family.
The one hour trek will take you through the forest at the foot of Phanom Bencha mountain, following the river for part of the way. After the trek, spend some time with the elephants with the option to to feed the elephants banana’s as a treat.
Next is a short trek to visit the seven-level Huay Tho waterfall, where you can swim and refresh under the fall. A cool dip in the waterfall ponds is the perfect way to cool off and relax while taking in the surrounding vista of the national park, with it's 1,500 fruit trees and tropical flora and fauna.行程概要出發地點
