When your cruise ship docks at Laem Chabang port, your guide picks up your group for the 30-minute drive to the seaside city of Pattaya. Your first stop is the Pattaya Floating Market ─ specifically designed as a tourist attraction and modeled after Bangkok’s authentic floating market.Traditionally in Thailand, vendors rowed boats filled with their wares, but in Pattaya you’ll find most of the market stalls built on stilts at the water’s edge. Walk along the boardwalks and over bridges as you browse the goods for sale, including clothes, antiques, handicrafts and souvenirs.Your guide will point out several places to sit and enjoy Thai snacks, or you can take a leisurely ride in a paddleboat around the man-made lake (each at additional cost). After approximately two hours perusing the market, gather with your group for the short drive to central Pattaya. You’ll get relief from the heat with complimentary bottled water and cold towels provided!From high-end resorts to backpacker lodging, the busy beachside city of Pattaya offers something for every traveler, including an inviting shoreline and shopping malls. Enjoy approximately four hours (depending on your cruise ship schedule) to explore at your leisure.Your guide can recommend where to eat lunch in the city's main shopping mall, or direct you toward Beach Road to meander along the small lanes past shops, food stalls and open-air bars. If you’d prefer to relax in a beach chair, Pattaya Beach is right across the road.When your full day of fun is over, meet your guide at a prearranged point and time (dependent on traffic conditions) for the return drive to Laem Chabang port.Worry-free Shore Excursion:We will ensure your timely return to the Bangkok port for this activity.
