Day 1: Arrival in Bucharest, transfer to 4*/5* hotel. Dinner in a centrally located restaurant.
Day 2: Departure to Curtea de Arges, visit Episcopal Church. Drive to Sibiu, one of the oldest cities in Transylvania, founded by the Saxon colonists. Walking tour of the medieval town. Depart to Sibiel - Museum of Icons. Dinner and overnight at a guesthouse.
Day 3: Departure to Sighisoara, birthplace of Vlad the Impaler. En route, visit the fortified Church at Biertan. Arrival in Sighisoara-The Medieval Citadel (UNESCO World Heritage): the Clock Tower, the Church on the Hill and the roofed stairways. Lunch at the “House of Dracula”. Continue to Targu Mures and Bistrita, one of the 7 medieval cities in Transylvania. Dinner and overnight: 3* centrally located hotel.
Day 4: Departure to Bucovina, home to the unique painted monasteries (UNESCO World Heritage). Visit the Wood Museum in Campulung Moldovenesc. Lunch in a local restaurant. Visit the Moldovita Monastery and Lucia CONDREA’s workshop for painted eggs. Visit Voronet Monastery. Dinner and overnight: 4* hotel in Gura Humorului.
Day 5: Morning departure to Neculai Popa Museum with colourful masks and folk costumes. Lunch at a typical monastery. In the afternoon, drive along the Bicaz Lake to Lacu Rosu. Dinner and overnight: 3* hotel.
Day 6: Departure to Brasov. Stop at Prejmer/Harman fortified church, also included in the UNESCO World Heritage. Drive on to Bran, lunch in a picturesque local restaurant. Visit "Dracula's" Castle, built as a fortress for the citizens of Brasov in 1377, to defend the city. Arrival at Brasov also founded by the Saxon colonists. Walking tour through the old town centre, including the Black Church and the Council Square. Dinner at Sura Dacilor/Casa Romaneasca. Overnight: 3*/4*/5* hotel in Brasov
Day 7: In the morning, we cross the Carpathians toward Sinaia. Visit the Peles Castle, one of the most spectacular castles in Europe. Lunch in a local restaurant. Panoramic tour of Bucharest. Visit the House of Parliament, the second largest building in the world. Farewell dinner in a lovely brassiere called Caru cu Bere. Overnight: 4*/5* hotel in Bucharest
Day 8: Transfer to the airport.
Danube Delta trip (on request)
Day 8: Breakfast and meeting with your guide to depart to the Danube Delta. Lunch and visit the Danube Delta Museum in Tulcea. Transfer from Murighiol by boat to Uzlina. 2 Hour-journey by small boat through the Danube Delta. Dinner and overnight stay at Cormoran Complex 3*.
Day 9: One day trip to the Danube Delta. Experience the wilderness with small floating islands, channels, birds and vegetation. Lunch in Crisan-fish menu. Dinner and overnight in a 3* hotel.
