Day 1: Lisbon
Transfer from the airport to the hotel. Guided walking tour in Lisbon: see Av. da Liberdade, a street that separates the 2 hills of the most central area of the city. It’s also the place for luxury shopping. When we get to Rossio we turn right to Chiado, Bairro Alto and Principe Real Quarters. These are 3 quarters to walk slowly, admiring the architecture, entering the various churches and tasting the local food in the caf□s and shops. This is also restaurant heaven. After lunch we go down the hill towards the river and the majestic Terreiro do Pa o plaza in Baixa, the most central quarter. We turn right to Castelo and Alfama, on the eastern hill of the city centre. You will find plenty to see and photograph and a visit to the castle is almost mandatory, you’ll be rewarded by a magnificent view of the city. We suggest dinner at a Fado restaurant, where you can enjoy the food, the wine and the traditional Portuguese song. Hotel Evolution Hotel Lisbon.
Day 2: (Lisbon) - Castelo de Vide Beir Marv o Portalegre Alter do Ch o
Pick up from your hotel or airport at 8am and transfer to the medieval city and stronghold of Castelo de Vide. After a quick set up of the bikes we’ll start riding through town on our way to the top of the Marv o fortified village. We’ll walk through its narrow streets and visit the 9th century castle and cistern, and admire the beautiful S. Mamede mountain range. After lunch, we continue our ride to Alter do Ch o where we suggest you to visit the Alter do Ch o harass to admire the majesty of the Lusitano thoroughbred horses that have been bred by royal appointment since 1750. This is the town where you will be spending the night also.

Day 3: Alter do Ch o Estremoz - Convento S. Paulo
After breakfast we ride the hilly roads of North Alentejo to the top of yet another medieval village, Estremoz where you can overlook the Alentejo plains at the lookout point just in front of the Castle entrance. Now you need to roll down the hill and enjoy the marvellously scenic road in front of you before tackling the Serra D’Ossa climb that will reward you with the great views of this region. Your hotel-museum, St. Paul’s Monastery, built in the 12th century, is just a few corners after you start descending the mountain range. We will have a wine tasting at the convent regional restaurant before dinner.

After breakfast we start our ride going downhill from the Monastery towards Redondo on the edge of the Alentejo’s beautiful marble region. You will enjoy the hilly roads of this region; its quiet roads surrounded by cork and olive trees and arrive in Monsaraz, a medieval village and castle, perched on top of the hill that overlooks the Alqueva Great Lake. There’s a mandatory stop at the lookout point before going up to the castle. After the visit to Monsaraz village we’ll ride to nearby Mour o to have lunch at a typical “adega” serving great regional food. After lunch we’ll ride back to Monsaraz and your hotel right by the lake.

Today we should start our ride early to enjoy a visit to the UNESCO world heritage city of vora, rich in history, culture and charm with various significant monuments as the roman temple of Diana and the city’s Aqueduct. The local food, wine and pastries are not to be missed so make sure you don’t.

After breakfast we’ll go for a short ride and visit to the Almendras Cromlech one of the oldest megalithic monuments ever built by man. After the tour we’ll have the day to continue our discovery of vora and it’s historic city and monuments before being picked up for our transfer to Lisbon at late afternoon

Day 7: Lisbon
Before going back you should start your day early and visit the western quarters of Bel□m and Jer□nimos where you can find the majestic Jer□nimos Monastery with its exquisitely elaborate Manueline architecture style. Just next door are the famous Bel□m egg tarts, not to be missed either. A short stone throw away is the Bel□m Tower, a ceremonial gateway to the Tagus river and as the Monsatery a Unesco world heritage site that boasts the same architecture style. At the scheduled time you will be picked up at your hotel for your transfer to the airport.
