    行程介紹

Day 1: LisbonWhen you arrive in Lisbon, meet your driver at the airport or your hotel and start your experience with a transfer to your accommodation for the next three nights. Get settled, unpack and spend the rest of your day exploring the city with your guide.
Stand in awe of Lisbon Cathedral, built in 1150 on the site of an old mosque by Portugal's first king. Nearby, see the exterior of the Fado Museum whose exhibits trace the evolution and passion behind Portugal’s famous fado style of music. In the Alfama area, visit St George's Castle (Castelo de Sao Jorge) atop the highest hill in the city. Learn about how the castle changed hands from the ancient Visigoths to the Moors to Portugal's royalty in medieval times. Admire Alfama’s maze of red rooftops and pastel-colored houses from above at Largo das Portas do Sol, the original Moorish gateway.
Stop for lunch (own expense), and then soak up the bohemian atmosphere of the Bairro Alto neighborhood and the newly improved Cais do Sodr□ district. Wander Lisbon's many plazas, including Restauradores Square, Rossio Square and Com□rcio Square. Visit the remarkable Tower of Bel□m and Jer□nimos Monastery, designated together as a UNESCO World Heritage site. You’ll also learn about the significance of the Discoveries Monument, honoring Henry the Navigator, who led Portugal’s discovery expeditions into the New World in the 15th century.
Finish your day with a hotel drop-off and spend your night at leisure.
Overnight: 3- or 4-start hotel in Lisbon
Day 2: Lisbon Sintra Cascais Estoril Lisbon (L)Start with a morning pickup for a day trip to Sintra. Leave the urban capital behind and venture just over 30 minutes northwest to Sintra, which brushes up against the Sintra Mountains and beautiful Sintra-Cascais Nature Park. A breakfast stop along the way can be organized at your own expense.
This UNESCO World Heritage-listed town became the first center of European Romantic architecture in the 19th century, and its cultural landscape is dotted with royal retreats, estates, castles and buildings from the 8th century and beyond. With your guide, visit some of Sintra’s most renowned attractions such as Pena National Palace, Castle of the Moors, Sintra National Palace, Queluz National Palace and Quinta da Regaleira.
Enjoy a fresh fish lunch at a restaurant on the beach, and spend the rest of your afternoon discovering the other side of the Sintra mountains.Visit the cosmopolitan coastal town of Cascais, a former fishing village that transformed into a cosmopolitan resort town after gaining fame from Portugal's royal family in the 19th century. In the village of Estoril, see the impressive Casino Estoril, the largest casino in Europe that was reputed to be a secret gathering spot during World War II. Just west of Cascais, enjoy views over the cliffs of Cabo da Roca and spot the dramatic Boca do Inferno cliff formation (Hell’s Mouth). Return to Lisbon in the evening.

See sights such as the town gate and Santa Maria Church, and learn interesting facts about the village from your guide. You might also stop at one of the local wine shops to sample the traditional Ginja (own expense).
Hop back in your vehicle for the drive through the beautiful Portuguese agricultural countryside, and stop at S□tio for wonderful views of the Atlantic Ocean and the pretty beaches. Then, arrive in Nazar□, a colorful and traditional fishing village. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant (own expense), and then soak up the sun and coastal sights with a walk along the beach.
With your appetite sated, continue to F□tima, once a sleepy rural village that became an important pilgrimage site in 1917 when three shepherd children reported apparitions of the Virgin Mary, also known as Our Lady of F□tima (Nossa Senhora de F□tima). With your guide, visit the Chapel of the Apparitions and the Sanctuary of F□tima.

My wife and I both 31 years old and from NYC had an absolutely wonderful time on this tour in August 2018, which was operated locally through My Lisbon Holidays. We ended up booking the private tour because the group tour we initially were planning on was fully booked. Wow, were we glad we did the private tour! A huge unexpected benefit is that European group tours are usually in multiple languages. For example, at another point during the vacation, we tried a group tour during which the guide translated everything in Portuguese, Spanish and English, and this constant back-and-forth become very dense. So splurge a little and do a private tour. They even book the hotel for you and pick you up and drop you off each day - how convenient.

On this 3-night private tour, we were greeted at the airport by the amazing Joel Oliveira. We had a blast! He first dropped us off at the hotel and then whizzed us around Lisbon, explaining the history and culture in a fun way that delighted the different tastes of my wife and me. There was a great balance between walking around the city with the guide and driving to different stops, which was nice because it was hot the first day. Within 24 hours, we went from being completely unfamiliar with Portugal to having a huge increase in knowledge of the locale and comfort with our surroundings.

The second and third days were spent on day trips outside Lisbon to some of the most beautiful places we had ever seen. We had delicious lunches at traditional Portuguese restaurants and sampled delicacies we otherwise would not have tried on our own. The logistics and planning could not have been better. It was so much fun! We loved experiencing Portugal with the incomparable Joel Oliveira!
