Sintra and Cascais Small-Group Day Trip from LisbonExperience Portugal's natural beauty and historic prowess with a journey to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed town of Sintra and the coastal resort town of Cascais.
In Sintra, your first stop is Pena National Palace, perched on a hill high above the city. This UNESCO World Heritage-listed Romanticist palace is one of the most revered landmarks in Portugal. Enter the palace to admire the Arab Room and the detailed features in the king and queen's bedrooms, and head to the Queen’s Throne to look out over the Atlantic Ocean.
Continue to the historical center of Sintra, where you’ll have free time to explore the town, have lunch or perhaps visit Sintra National Palace (own expense).
Admire the landscapes of Sintra-Cascais Natural Park on your way to the cliffs of Roca Cape and the surfer's paradise of Guincho Beach. Pass the cliff at Hell’s Mouth and stop to stretch your legs along the bay.
Arrive in Cascais, a coastal town that transformed from a quiet fishing village into a chic resort destination after gaining fame from Portugal's royal family in the 19th century. Stroll the beaches, wander the charming cobbled streets and learn about the town's maritime history and important agricultural industries.
Take in peaceful coastal views on the drive back to Lisbon.
F□tima, Nazar□ and bidos Small-Group Day Trip from LisbonTake another day trip from Lisbon, this time to F□tima, Nazar□ and bidos. Your first stop is F□tima, located 1.5 hours away. The town of F□tima, whose name derives from a Moorish princess, is one of the most important Catholic shrines in the world. Visit the Sanctuary of F□tima, which welcomes millions of pilgrims and tourists from around the globe, and honors the apparition of the Virgin Mary.
Next, head to the fishing town of Nazar□, the most picturesque coastal resort in the Estremadura region. Enjoy free time to stroll the harbor, filled with traditional wooden boats, or explore the cobbled lanes in search for the perfect lunch spot (own expense).
Drive along the cliffs above Nazar□ to the ancient village of bidos. bidos is commonly known as the 'wedding present town,' as it was a gift from King Dinis to Queen Isabel on their wedding day in 1282.
Follow your guide to a local wine shop to sample ginja, a Portuguese liqueur. Then enjoy free time to explore the village’s narrow streets, medieval fortress and art shops. Return to Lisbon in the evening.飯店接送

We had a wonderful time on our two day Viator trip mainly because of our guide, Joao Ferrao (who we nicknamed Bruno!), The sights were amazing but Joao made sure that everyone's needs were met from a language point of view (he had to narrate the tour in English and Spanish on the second day's trip) as well as concerning himself with our comfort and safety. I would highly recommend Viator for any trips in Portugal and ask for Joao. Terry and Susan

The day trip to Sintra and Cascais is a must. Pedro, our tour guide for this first trip was exceptional. The second trip to F□tima, Nazar□ and bidos I recommend you do on your own, in your own time and with company. Our tour guide, Paulo, for this second trip was disappointing.

The guides gave us an overall description but not a tour of the sights. Also, headsets would have been extremely helpful. I have used aviator in the past but am not sure I would use them again.

Our two days of tours started with Sintra and Cascais. Our guide was Nuno. Sintra and Pena Palace were well-covered, Nuno's English was excellent, and he knew the history/significance of all the places we visited. A great day. On our second day, we visited Fatima, Obidos,, Nazare, and the lighthouse near Nazare where world-record surfing occurs. Ricardo was our guide, and like Nuno, his English and expertise were awesome. We felt that the time and money spent were well worth it. Great tours, great locations, great times. Highly recommend.

Both tours were excellent although Sintra was way too crowded to fully enjoy. The small group tours are much better than large bus tours. Nuno was a great guide for Fatima, Nazare and Obidos and provided excellent narratives.

We had a wonderful time with Andre and Joao. Not only are they knowledgeable they have great personalities and you can tell they love what they do! We were matched with two lovely couples that made it even better!! Obrigada!
