Stop At: Estatua do Marques de Pombal, Lisbon, Lisbon District, Central Portugal
You start by being picked-up for your tour at the designated meeting point in Lisbon.
Witness bottle-nose dolphins glide through the sea on this full-day guided sea life sightseeing tour from Lisbon. South of Lisbon, discover one of the 10 most beautiful bays in the world, and explore a natural park and a region known for its wines and cheese. Cruise atop one of the globe’s most scintillating bays in a modern catamaran, and see interesting marine life. You will also voyage to a natural park and learn about it’s history and culture.

Stop At: Reserva Natural do Estuario do Sado, Setubal, Setubal District, Alentejo
In Set□bal you will board a modern catamaran, for a relaxing and enjoyable cruise on the Sado Estuary, where you’ll learn about the resident bottlenose dolphins and hopefully be able to observe some wild dolphins in their natural environment. The cruise takes between 2 1/2 to 3 hours (Note: we will be a maximum of 30 minutes close to the dolphins).
See the natural reserve of Arr□bida, take in the stunning views, and learn about the area’s history and gastronomy. From the ocean, and before returning to the old city centre of Set□bal you’ll see a few of the region’s historic monuments and sites like the Arr□bida Convent and the Saint Filipe Fort.
Before returning to Lisbon, you’ll stop at a few sights in the Arrabida Mountain range, from where you can marvel at the natural reserve and get a “land view” of this region.

This tour was the highlight of our trip. Rod was incredible. He gave us great insight into the city as well as the dolphins. We saw many dolphins up close and they were so active.
The brandy/wine tasting after was even better than expected. I would recommend this trip to anyone who loves drinking and dolphins and who doesn't? -
We had an awesome day with our guide! He had arrived precisly to take us to Set□bal with a little bus. He was really nice with us, we talked a lot. The boat was great, it was old and new at once. We saw a lots of dolphins, loved them! When the dolphins swam away, we could taste some portuguese cheese and wine on the board. After the ship tour, we went to a vinery. We taste some delicious wines, and then we visited a tile museum. It was amazing, the locals were very friendly. We had a fantastic day together, really enjoyed it. Our guide offered a lot of programmes to us, and we just have to choose of them. So thank you for that day, I hope we meet someday again! Thanks a lot Dora and Gabor from Hungary

We were picked up at 9am from our hotel in the city and drove for about an hour to Set□bal, stopping briefly at a fish and vegetable market on the way. Together with approx. 10 portuguese tourists we sailed out in search for the wild dolphins. To our delight we saw the whole family of 27 numerous times. This was truly the most amazing and wonderful part of this tour! After about 30 mins we continued sailing along the coast and back to the port. We spent a total of 3 hours on the boat without any water provided, so remember to bring some. Next we headed back to Lisbon and randomly stopped at a local liquor producing facility owned by a family in the region. We were given a brief tour of the facility and got to taste some fabulous regional cheese and various liquors. Overall the tour was good but relatively unorganized. If we hadn't seen the dolphins I would have rated the tour lower, as we did not visit the Arr□bida Convent, the hidden Lapa de Santa Margarida or the historical sites that the tour promised. However, the dolphins are definitely worth seeing!

We booked this trip, never expecting it to be this GREAT! We were picked up at Solar Do Castelo, by a very friendly, knowledgeable guide by the name of Jo o D. John is what we called him and from there it was non stop! We drove directly to PortDe Setubal, where we boarded an Old Salt ship, that had been restored, along with maybe 10 others, not crowded. We were on the water for 3 1/2 hours, beautiful and saw LOTS of whales! This area was part of the National Park, very clean and very restricted waterway. On to lunch not included but was one of the best meals we had while in Portugal, fish were so fresh! Taking U There was the name of the company that Viator had used for this trip and John again, was so knowledgeable and the trip flexible if there was something we wanted to do, he took us. Visited a Winery for wine and Cheese, owned by family for 450 years, was great wine, wanted them all, but no pressure at all to buy. Returned to our hotel exhausted, from all we had seen and done thanks to John.....would recommend this trip to all ages, and ask for John from Taking U There to do your tour, you will love it and a day well spent! Thanks John
