Get comfortable in an air-conditioned vehicle as you start your journey toward the town of F□tima, a once-sleepy rural village that became an important pilgrimage site when three shepherd children reported apparitions of the Virgin Mary in 1917. Visit the Sanctuary of Fatima, a basilica that honors the apparition and attracts millions of Catholic pilgrims every year who go to pay their respects to the shrine

Stop At: Batalha Monastery, Batalha, Leiria District, Central Portugal
Next, visit the 14th-century Batalha Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that illustrates the rich artistic heritage of the late 1300s. Discover the impressive royal burial site at the basilica’s Founder’s Chapel, where King Jo o I, Queen Philippa of Lancaster and their son Prince Henry the Navigator were buried.

Stop At: Praia da Nazare, Nazare, Leiria District, Central Portugal
Take a short break for lunch (own expense) in Nazar□, a quaint fishing town famous for its variety of restaurants and cafes. A popular summer retreat for the Portuguese, the village offers an interesting insight into local life. Short stop at the Nazar□ cliffs to see the ocean views

Pass By: Baia de Sao Martinho do Porto, Sao Martinho do Porto, Alcobaca, Leiria District, Central Portugal
Next continue through the picturesque villages of Foz do Arelho and S o Martinho do Porto. Admire views of agricultural fields and the Atlantic Ocean as you drive along the dramatic, cliff-lined coast.
Stop At: Obidos Village, Obidos, Leiria District, Central Portugal
Finally, make your way to the medieval village of bidos. Founded in 208 BC, bidos is commonly known in Portugal as the 'wedding present town', as it was a gift from King Dinis to Queen Isabel on their wedding day in 1282. Follow your guide to one of the numerous wine shops and sample the Ginja liqueur, and then enjoy free time to explore the village’s medieval fortress, narrow streets, colorful houses and Gothic doorways and windows decorated with flowerpots and dazzling tiles. Grab a snack or browse around the tiny shops that offer a varied collection of beautiful handmade ceramic art before making your way back to Lisbon.

Matthew was our tour guide. We had a great time. We went to Fatima on Palm Sunday. Magical place. Nazare was great . We had a wonderful seafood lunch there and nice stroll. Matthew is very knowledgeable and very well spoken and gives excellent recommendations ... Thank you!!!

What a great trip! Each one fascinating and different from the others. In addition to the 3 listed, we stopped at Batalha, truly an impressive Gothic cathedral.Our guide, whose name I've sadly forgotten, was excellent, informative and humorous, and the trip was well paced. Would definitely recommend.

We were very pleased with the tour and our tour guide, Ricardo was great! Best ever tour guide we have had so far and we’ve traveled a lot. He was very warm and pleasant. Gave excellent background and insights about the places we visited. Loved the place and food he recommended for lunch (best fresh grilled squid!). Very accommodating too on our special requests. We will definitely recommend him to our friends.

This tour was a great way to spend the day outside Lisbon while visiting the shrine of Fatima and the small towns of Nazare and Obidos. Our tour guide/driver was knowledgeable and friendly, and the group was small (10 people). As we drove to Fatima, the guide provided useful information about the shrine and some historical information about the event and Portugal history in general. Nazare was a bit underwhelming since it was almost empty in January. Obidos was empty as well, but it was great walking through the old fortress with very few tourists. Overall it was a good tour and recommended for someone looking to spend a day visiting outside Lisbon.

Our guide Rui was entertaining and very knowledgeable which made the day very interesting. He shared many anecdotes ... the trip was amazing with just enough time in each place. The lunch in Nazare was at a quaint restaurant on the beach front... food was divine! Second to Fatima, Obidos was a firm favorite ...

Our tour guide/driver Nuno was excellent, outstanding, knowledgable and informative. He was very helpful, patient and polite. The tour was amazing. Small group of 8. The timing was perfect. We had sufficient time to do what we need to do and see in Fatima, Batalha, Nazar□, bidos. Returned to Lisbon on time.

Our guide Joao was beyond an excellent host, who took us through religious sites, seaside towns, and mountain villages all with very engaging, amusing conversation and useful information. Would recommend having 30-40 euro on hand for lunch and any extra gifts or experiences you would like to purchase on site, not all shops take credit cards

We had a wonderful day with our tour guide Nunu. He was very knowledgeable and informative. We had a delicious lunch in Nazar□. I would highly recommend this tour, especially liked that it was a small group, just 8 of us.
