Stop At: Park and National Palace of Pena, Sintra, Sintra Municipality, Lisbon District, Central Portugal
We will visit the remarkable Pena Palace, one of the major expressions of 19th-century romanticism in the world. The current palace dates back to 1839, when King Ferdinand II bought the ruins of the Monastery of Our Lady of Pena and started to adapt it for use as a residence according to his romantic taste. We will, not only visit the Pena Palace, but also explore some parts of the Pena Park.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
Stop At: Centro Historico de Sintra, Sintra, Sintra Municipality, Lisbon District, Central Portugal
Sintra is an old and mainly pedestrian village that was founded thousand years ago. The Greeks named Sintra the "Mountain of the Moon" and today is still a true fairy tale village. Is a UNESCO world heritage site since 1995. Here you will have free time for lunch (lunch costs are not included) and to enjoy some famous travesseiros (pillows), in a old bakery that existed since 1862, they are light puff pastries that are turned, rolled and folded seven times, and then filled with delicious almond-and-egg-yolk cream and lightly dusted with sugar. You can also enjoy the Sintra cheesecakes.

Pass By: Regional de Colares Winery
Colares and its famous wine cellars are on our way to the Atlantic Ocean. Colares is a quaint village famous for its wine, a royal passion that started in the 13th century. The landscape had been sticking in time and around we can enjoy old villas, beautiful mansions, small and big farm areas or a centenary tram.
Pass By: Praia das Macas, Colares, Sintra Municipality, Lisbon District, Central Portugal
Praia das Ma s (Apple’s beach) it’s the most popular beach and village in the west of Sintra. It’s also the last stop of a centenary tram. It was very busy in the beginning of the 20th century, however today is only a popular spot for the locals.
Stop At: Praia das Azenhas do Mar, Colares, Sintra Municipality, Lisbon District, Central Portugal
We will make a stop in one of the most picturesque seaside towns in Portugal. Azenhas do Mar has a stunning view overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and whitewashed red-roofed houses along the cliff.

Stop At: Cabo da Roca, Colares, Sintra Municipality, Lisbon District, Central Portugal
We will make a stop in the wild Cabo da Roca, which is a 150 meters (500 feet) cliff that forms the western most point of continental Europe. Facing the roaring Atlantic, this spot is a surprising and remote landscape with amazing views.

Pass By: Guincho Beach, Cascais, Lisbon District, Central Portugal
The Guincho beach is beautiful sandy beach area 9 km away from Cascais. It’s a protected landscape where we can see dunes and endemic flora. It’s also a popular destination for surfers.
Stop At: Centro Historico de Cascais, Cascais, Lisbon District, Central Portugal
Cascais is a former fishing village that gained fame as a resort for Portugal's royal family in the late 19th century and early 20th century. Nowadays, it is a popular vacation spot for both Portuguese and foreign tourists. Nowadays is village with small museums, picturesque gardens, a shiny marina and a pedestrianized old town. We will stop here for a while and sugest you to try the most famous ice cream of Portugal, Santini’s Gelati!

Pass By: Casino Estoril
Estoril is 2 km away from Cascais and it becomes the Portuguese Riviera, a popular destination for rich Portuguese and non-Portuguese families. Were we’ll find hotels, villas and a casino. Estoril was the place where Ian Fleming, the creator of James Bond got inspired to wrote Casino Royale, because there were many spies and exiles staying here.

Completely worth it! You get to see many sites on the tour and it is convenient to have transportation to see the Palace. Rita was well knowledgeable about the history of each site and made sure the group was enjoying the experience. You get free time and the wall walk was really fun.

Our guide was very polite and professional from the start. She encouraged interaction and added value to the fun we set out to have that day. I particularly enjoyed the occasional history class which allowed her to fill some information gaps that we (may have) had and better enjoy the stories being told. The crowd at Pena Palace was thick and it was not high season but still, the guide, Catarina, did a good job of keeping us together and ensuring that everyone had a grand time.

This was a fantastic tour. Our Guide, Catarina, was first rate and very knowledgable. She went out of her way to ensure that at particular vantage points she took photos of couples, something that cant always happen. The places visited were brilliant, and would recommend this particular tour to everyone.
