The tour will start with a convenient pick up from your hotel, then we will go to the National Tile Museum. This museum is one of the most important national museums, for its unique collection - the Azulejo (tile), an artistic expression which differentiates the Portuguese culture, and for the building where it is located - the ancient Convent of Madre de Deus (Mother of God). The next stop is the Monastery of S o Vicente de Fora - This monastery has the most extensive collection of baroque tiles in the world, including a curious series of 38 panels illustrating the fables of La Fontaine. Finally we will have a guided tour of Palace Fronteira - This holds a unique place in the XVII century portuguese "azulejaria" (hand-painted tiles art). Not only in its days was one of the biggest azulejo sets in the civil architecture, as it is almost the only one where the tiles are still in situ, even outdoors. The tour concludes with a drop off at your hotel in Lisbon.行程概要出發地點
