Meet your guide in central Lisbon and set off on your private walking tour of this fascinating city.
Stop first in Rossio Square (Pra a do Rossio), Lisbon’s main meeting place since the Middle Ages. Gaze at the fountains and buildings, and admire the 19th-century black and white wave-shaped mosaics that cover the square.
Walk to Restauradores Square (Pra a dos Restauradores), where a 98-foot (30-meter) high obelisk commemorates Portugal’s independence from Spain in 1640. Here, take in the art deco Eden Theatre building, 18th-century Foz Palace and Liberdade Avenue, the 19th-century boulevard that is Lisbon’s main lifeblood.
Also, stop to see the intricate architecture of Rossio Station (Esta o do Rossio), and learn how it connects Lisbon to Sintra via a 1.6-mile (2.6-km) rail tunnel that was excavated under the city in the 19th century.
Next, visit Carmo Square (Largo do Carmo), the picturesque scene of Portugal’s 1974 ‘Carnation Revolution,’ and site of the skeletal ruins of the 14th-century Carmo Convent.
Midway through your tour, stop at a cafe to refuel with a delicious pastel de nata, one of Portugal's delectable egg tarts, before setting off with your guide once more.
Walk to the elegant Chiado neighborhood, where the streets are lined with swish cafes, boutiques and theaters, and then ride a vintage tram to Alfama, Lisbon’s oldest and former Moorish neighborhood. Almost a city within a city, the area is filled with cobbled alleys, squares and pretty whitewashed houses.
Wander the lanes as your guide recounts Alfama’s history and its role in the birth of fado, Portugal’s melancholic folk music. Pass fado houses and the Fado Museum, and admire Lisbon cathedral (S□ de Lisboa), tucked into the center of Alfama.
After, walk to Commerce Square (Pra a do Com□rcio), Lisbon’s huge waterside square, where your tour ends. Get directions from your guide back to your hotel or continue exploring independently.行程概要出發地點

Jorge was an unassuming, easy going but knowledgeable guide. He knew shortcuts that allowed his clients to access wonderful views, bypassing more physically demanding or very crowded routes or paying entrance fees (and introduced us to the shops with the best cheeses and egg tarts). We had good exposure to the "downtown" and older areas of Lisbon in an unhurried way. He kept a watchful eye on all without being obvious.

Margarita was a fantastic tour guide. We got a great feel for Lisbon, and it was an excellent orientation. We really fell in love with the city and it’s culture!

The tour was excellent and I would highly recommend it, the walk was at a good pace and very informative. Our guide Miguel was really knowledgeable and took care to ensure that everyone in our party got the most from the tour. Miguel, gave us some great tips for travelling around Lisbon. This is a good way to see Lisbon.

We took this tour on our first day in Lisbon. It was the perfect beginning of our time in Portugal. Claudia was very knowledgeable and spoke perfect English. She covered topics we would never have learned about in a big tour. Excellent job!

This was the ideal walking tour taking us around the old parts of the city and letting us see places of interest on foot. Our guide Marguerita was brilliant and made the tour both interesting and enjoyable.

Nice tour of the city of Lisbon. Would have liked to see more of the neighborhoods and places only the locals see. Walked up many hills which was a challenge for 2 people in our party. Our guide was not a native of Lisbon and had been living there for only 2 years. She was very nice and helpful and did her best to tailor the tour to our needs.

3 hour wait at airport

Tour guide Racquel was excellent and showed us all of the sites close to the city centre
We had a taste of local foods and wine which was good and were given good info on where to go further afield
Big disappointment was not being able to ride the tram due to queues
