Made in Madeira: an innovative project that aims to keep the traditions of Madeira, its culture and art alive. Come and taste the perfect regional delicacies.
Uau Cacau: 100% Madeiran chocolate factory, all about elegant chocolates and typical flavors. Simply Irresistible.
Pereira d'Oliveira Vinhos: the wines from this wine producer are appreciated all over the world with their old wines having the highest reputation among top professionals.
Fabrica de Santo Antonio: the best known Madeira cookies and sweets factory. Recipes are traditional, always.
Snack Bar Coca Cola: this is an appreciated typical bar among the locals where it is possible to eat black scabbard fillet sandwiches or fresh tuna, anytime of the day.
Mercados dos Lavradores (Local market): the Farmers Market in Funchal offers a profusion of colors and scents beginning with the colorful flowers past the appreciated seasonal exotic fruits, and ending in the large and bustling fish market.
A Mercadora: the typical Madeiran grocery store, where various spices can be found and also beans, potatoes and much more. Here it is also mandatory a stopover to try the famous Poncha.
Venda da Donna Maria: come and delight yourself with tasty regional and home cooking. This restaurant located in the old town offers a rich and complete menu of typical and secular Madeira cuisine.
Oficina do Mercado: the "Oficina" is located at "Armaz□m do Mercado" and it is a modern space, recently created by young Madeiran. It's a place where you want to be because good coffee, wine, tea, and music in the calm atmosphere are part of this space. This is a perfect ending of the tour before returning to the original departure point.

We did the tasting tour in Funchal at the end of October as part of our Madeira initiation and were not disappointed. It was our first albeit short trip to the Island and the tour was a perfect intro into history, people and of course food and wine.Our tour guide was great and shared a lot of interesting detail so all in all something to remember and recommend.

A really excellent tour. Sofia was very knowledgeable and passionate about Madeira and gave us some really interesting insights into its history and traditions. The food and wine tasting was varied but very representative of the local cuisine.

Sofia was our guide, she was a wonderful story teller and made the tour really interesting. The food and wine were excellent as plenty of it. We even stopped for lunch. The tour was excellent value for money.

Absolutely amazing, lovely small group of 10. A. fabulous taste of Madeira's traditional food and wine. Sophia was an excellent host but at the end of the tour she left too quickly without any of us being able to tip her! Although we had been in Madeira for 5 days when we took this tour Sophia was still able to show us some hidden places that we hadn't before encountered on our own. An absolute must-do tour.

Excellent tour led by Sophia, a multilingual and charming host with extensive local knowledge of the island. An opportunity to see the Funchal that you don't get the chance to see normally as a tourist. Whilst a little expensive, the tour is tremendous value for money and includes several wine tastings, local snacks, lunch, superb chocolates, cakes and biscuits etc. Please don't eat before you go as it's three hours or so of drinking and eating, with walking at a leisurely pace.
