This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: Santuario Historico de Machu Picchu, Machu Picchu, Sacred Valley, Cusco Region
Completed in approximately 1450 at the height of the Incan empire, Machu Picchu was abandoned less than 100 years later following the Spanish conquest of Peru. Today it is considered by many to be the new spiritual center of the world.
From Cusco, you'll be transferred to the railway station to enjoy your 1.5-hour scenic rail tour to Aguas Calientes. In order to meet various customer needs, you can choose from three different types of options.
The Expedition option was created for adventurous passengers seeking comfort and security without the extra frills. Departing from Ollantaytambo train station, located approximately 1.5-hours from Cusco, your journey to Machu Picchu begins! The seats have been reupholstered with indigenous fabrics, giving them a touch of local flavor. Snacks are available for purchase, as well as additional storage space for backpacks.
The Vistadome option is a comfortable way to journey to Machu Picchu. Departing from Ollantaytambo train station, located approximately 1.5-hours from Cusco, you'll enjoy beautiful panoramic windows to make the most of the spectacular scenery and allow for fantastic photo opportunities. Delicious snacks as well as hot and cold refreshments are served on the way (own expense).
The Executive Class option departs from the Ollantaytambo train station, located approximately 1.5-hours from Cusco and make your way to Machu Picchu in comfort. Enjoy scenic panoramic views from the train, where you'll be seated in comfortable, padded chairs with a fold-out table for your convenience. Snacks and beverages are served on board the train for your enjoyment (own expense).
Upon arrival at Aguas Calientes station, you'll board a small bus and head up to the ruins of the “sacred city”, Machu Picchu. Your expert guide will walk with you through the main streets of these amazing ruins. Stroll through town squares and climb delicately carved stone stairways. Esoteric wisdom holds Machu Picchu as the new spiritual center of the world. There will be time to be alone and fully embrace this magnificent wonder of the world, letting this once in a lifetime experience set in.
In the afternoon you'll return to the train station in Aguas Calientes for the trip back to Cusco.
IMPORTANT: Your passport detail is needed for the Machu Picchu Day Trip (Full name and Passport ID). Please provide your passport detail in the additional request box, otherwise the tour is not confirmed.

Expedition Train Option:
Transfer to the train station. Departure on the Expedition train to the town of Aguas Calientes. During the journey, we will appreciate the hanging bridge that signals the start of the Inca Trail. The railway follows the course of the Urubamba or Vilcanota River climbing down and entering a canyon until we reach Aguas Calientes, the town that is located at the foot of Machu Picchu Mountain. We will board our mini-buses to climb to the remnants of the Sacred Citadel of the Incas, “Machu Picchu”. Visit to this incredible archeological site that keeps indescribable magic and energy for those who haven’t lived this experience before. We will tour the terraces, corridors, temples, the solar clock or “Intihuatana”, and other sacred places kept by this citadel. In the afternoon, ride back to the town of Machu Picchu (former - Aguas Calientes) to catch the return train. Arrival at the station and return to Cusco.
The Voyager Train Option:
A train trip away to see one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. We arrive at the Aguas Calientes station where our staff will assist us on boarding the bus to go up the winding road to Machu Picchu, amid a spectacular view of the Urubamba River and its canyon. The Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, will astonish us with its terraces, ceremonial shrines, steps and urban areas. Energy is all around us. At the arranged time, we will take the train back to Cusco to be transferred to the hotel. Vida was our guide. Did a wonderful job explaining things and was generally looking out for the welfare of the tour group. Would have liked to have had an hour to walk around the park on our own.

Everything was organized and efficient. We were very well cared for all along the way. Our MP guide, Marco, was knowledgeable and friendly. He made the experience for us. It’s a long day, but we expected that. What made it bearable was that we didn’t have to sweat the details. We just relaxed and enjoyed.

I knew going at the end of March was risky as the rainy season was not over. However, it was worth the risk to avoid large crowds and long waits.

I was surprised about how much walking on uneven ground I would dneed to do at Machu Picchu. I brought a cane which helped me to climb over the rocks. Our guide Hector from Viator was very patient with me. He took my hand and helped me scamper over the rocks. Mauchu Picchu was on my bucket list and I am glad I went!

Our tour guide Ruben was really good at explaining the Machu Picchu history, and he was really funny. Viajes Pac□fico left a note at the front desk of my hotel to remind me of the pick up time, which was good.

I was picked up early from the nearby point as my hotel was in a road not accessible by car! I was taken care of and the guide that tookMe around the MP was excellent! Very knowledgeable and as I was the only one doing a tour it felt private tour and so wonderful. He took many photos of me in the best places on the MP. The trip was an excellent value for money. Drivers that took me by car to the train station were brilliant! I highly recommend this company as it is the best!
