With great views from the top of the bus, strategically placed stops and an interesting commentary, this truly is the best way to see the main sights of Oslo!
You can hop on and off as many times as you like aboard this City Sightseeing open-top, double-decker bus. There are 18 stops in total along the route, and a full loop of the tour takes approximately 90 minutes. The bus departs every 30 minutes from each stop *(subject to local traffic conditions).
Oslo, the oldest and sunniest of the Scandinavian capitals, was founded by Harald Hadrade in the 11th century and is surrounded by mountains at the head of a 70-mile (100 kilometre) fjord.
Today, it attracts many tourists for it’s countless attractions.
One of the most interesting attractions along the route is the Royal Palace at Stop 3, hop-off here and explore the amazing former residence of King Charles III, built back in the 1800’s.
In the summer season, the palace is open to the public allowing tourists to explore the palace itself and its beautiful surrounding gardens.
Another beautiful garden along the tour which is well worth a visit is Frogner Park. Since the 1900’s, the park has been open to the public, however it is historically known for being part of Frogner Manor. Hop-off here and explore the historic side of the park at Manor House and the Oslo City Museum, or enjoy a peaceful stroll along the Frogner Pond!
The Vigeland Sculpture Park is another notable attraction along the Oslo tour, famous for it’s array of sculptures made by Gustav Vigeland. The museum and park is one of the city’s most popular tourist attractions to date, so it’s well worth a visit!
Oslo is well-known for its many fascinating museums, especially the Viking Shop Museum at Stop 9. This unique attraction was in fact excavated from a burial mound in the 19th century so it’s architecture is understandably rather outstanding!
Other museums along the route include the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History and the Museum of Contemporary Art.

Such a great tour of the city, we loved Oslo.

Did a good job covering the major tourist sites of Oslo and easy to access from cruise ships. Need to check your seat audio connections before you get too comfortable, some of the connection top side did not work on one bus, second bus showed no such problem. Another thing about hop-on hop-off buses, there are 2 companies through Europe that use that title, one is City Sightseeing and the other is Red Buses. Both go to all major tourist sights.

This was our first time doing a hop on- hop off tour. I had researched the highlights of Oslo ahead of time, so knew which stops we wanted to get off at. We really enjoyed the Vigegand sculpture park -- it was so unique. We walked around the parliament area and went to the Royal palace -- we were lucky to be able to go into it for a guided tour. Most of the tickets are pre-purchased on-line, with only a few spots available to last-minute customers. Oslo isn't a hard place to get around, so this bus worked really well for us

I wish the hours for the tour were longer. The bus also waits too long at stop 1 or 3. Great way to see the city. We always use these tours for any city we visit.

We had one of the 65 days a year of sunshine and excellent weather of Oslo. Perfect! Beautiful city and do not miss the waterfront boardwalk. -
Great. We spent almost all good attractions in Oslo by joining this hop-on hop off tour. Excellent way to see the city for the first timers.

With 4-5 different languages, the bus tour major spots. We were able to see good street view. I did not know that I was supposed to pick up a earphone. I wish the driver were a bit more friendly.

Great way of seeing the city. Stops at all the popular attraction - Viking and Fram museums etc.

Brilliant way to get around Oslo and goes past all the tourist attractions of interest. We were on a cruise and the bus stopped next to our ship which was a bonus, saves walking or looking for the bus stop. Oslo is under quite a bit of building construction at present but that doesn't stop the buses going about the streets. All in all a fantastic way to get around with super commentary on the areas of interest.

The City Sightseeing Oslo HoHo Tour was wonderful - it took us around the city to see and hear about the main sights and events of Oslo. We only had one day in Oslo, so this tour gave us a great overview of a beautiful city. The narration gave us fascinating history and information. I especially enjoyed seeing Oslo's Royal Palace, the home/studio of Edvard Munch, and the site where the Nobel Peace Prize is awarded. We also got a very good idea of the layout of Oslo, travelling through residential areas, seeing the cows of the royal family peacefully grazing in their meadow, and getting a thorough tour of the downtown shopping area. Oslo is a beautiful city, and we were able to see most of it in a fun and informative way.
