Norway’s second-largest city, Bergen has roots extending back to the 11th century and boasts a wealth of historical and cultural highlights, all topped with stunning mountain scenery. Whether you’re short on time or not, taking this City Sightseeing hop-on hop-off bus tour is one of the easiest ways to get under the skin of this lovely city.
Hop aboard and admire all the must-sees, including St Mary's Church, (the oldest building in Bergen), The National Stage theater (Den Nasjonale Scene), Frederiksberg Fortress and the Bergen Museum, home to one of Norway’s largest collections of cultural and natural history exhibits.
Hop off, too, at the world-famous Fish Market (Fisketorget) to browse its colorful fish, fresh food and flower stalls. Then, perhaps stroll to the funicular station and ride the Fl ibanen funicular up Mt Fl yen (own expense), one of the seven mountains that ring the city, to enjoy breathtaking over its rooftops and islands.
Other attractions include the Edvard Grieg Museum that chronicles the life of Bergen's famous composer son, and the UNESCO World Heritage-listed district of Bryggen, where a row of colorful wooden houses recall the city's role as part of the Hanseatic League from the 14th to the mid-16th century.
With your ticket, you can remain on the bus for an entire loop (roughly 45 minutes) while listening to the entertaining audio commentary, or hop on and off at any of the 13 stops around the city, all within a full 24-hour period.

This tour was an excellent choice to see the city of Bergen prior to making a choice where to spend more time depending on my interest. The bus was very clean as well as the city of Bergen. I actually had one of Bergen hot dogs, which is so different from hot dogs sold in the US. Recommendation - be sure to exchange some US money for some Krones before had. You can check the exchange rate on line from various companies.

We took this hop-on hop-off tour on our last day in Bergen. Our plan was to see anything we had not been able to do. The tour was a taped audio tour on a traditional tourist bus. However, the audio and the actual places we were at did not go together. At one point, out driver stopped in a parking lot and waited for 10 minutes. We were never sure of what we were waiting for. I would not recommend this tour. Just walk around Bergen and you will see and learn more.

Went round twice, then hopped off to go on the vehicular railway for spectacular views of the city.

This is a standard hop on hop off tour like those available in many cities. It picks you up at the cruise dock and takes you around the city. Bergen is a great city with many things to see but it is easily walkable and you don't need the bus to do it.

I think this would have to have been one of my favourite cities on the cruise. Having a cloudless day made it even more enjoyable.There was so much to see and enjoy I didn't know which side of the bus to look at. We did alight at Mt.Floyen and joined the queue to go up in the top. It was amazing how quickly you managed to get to the front of the queue. The view from Mr. Floyen was well worth it and we then decided to walk down the mountain. This zigzagged down the side and did take longer than we had anticipated but was well worth it. Not sure about attempting to climb up that way though.

Best way to get an overall feeling of Bergen. After getting on at the cruise terminal we took the bus to the fish market, got off walked around then boarded another bus. This time completing the full tour. commentary was very good.

Considering the size of the city, the tour was boring! Not many 13 Hop on, Hop off stops . Two stops were duplicate. Only 2-3 stops were worth the tour. Save money and only do the Floibahnen, Fishmarkt and the oldest church.
However, one of the stops is at the Cruise terminal.
