Begin your horse riding tour with a pickup by air-conditioned minivan at your accommodation in Marrakech, then travel out of the city into the surrounding countryside with your guide. With shimmering lakes, ancient olive groves and traditional Berber villages to discover, rural Morocco holds adventure round every corner and horseback is a wonderful way to explore the terrain in style!First, head to the stables with your guide and meet your horse. During your short initiation session, learn the commands used to control your horse in comfort and safety, then head off along the tracks deeper into rural Morocco.Perhaps choose a 2-hour or half-day tour through the La Palmeraie palm groves, where lush olive and palm groves flourish in the seemingly arid terrain. Discover traditional Berber villages where the locals enjoy a relaxed pace of life, and admire ancient rock formations in the riverbeds and valleys. During the half-day tour, enjoy a refreshing tea break in one of the Berber villages and gain insight into Moroccan life outside the city.Alternatively, you might prefer a half-day tour to Lalla Takerkoust Lake in the Atlas Mountains, where the rugged terrain is reflected in the calm waters and the snowy peaks of the High Atlas loom large on the horizon.
