After hotel pickup, follow your guide on a walking tour of Mexico City’s historic center, Centro Hist□rico, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Pass through Plaza de la Constituci□n ─ known as Zocalo ─ built in the 16th century by the Spanish on the ruins of Tenochtitlan, the old Aztec capital. See Palacio Nacional and admire Metropolitan Cathedral, the largest church in all of Latin America.
Next, visit Torre Latinoamericana (the Latin-American Tower, also known as Mirador Torre Latino) right when it opens, when there are few crowds and the sky is typically clear, allowing for the best views. Check out the site museum, and capture stunning panoramas from the observation deck.
Continue with your guide to Angel of the Independence, one of the city’s most recognizable monuments, dating back to 1910.
