You'll be picked up from downtown Cozumel and taken to the local town of El Cedral. This is where your beach and jungle ATV adventure begins. Decide to drive solo or join your companion on the ATV. Travel along lush green jungle while visiting ancient Mayan sites including underground caves, sink holes and Mayan ruins. Return back to El Cedral on your ATV after the exciting discoveries.
From El Cedral, the adventure continues. You'll be taken via minibus to Playa Uvas Beach Club to relax and take advantage of all the facilities. The 45 minute beach break will give you plenty of time to snorkel and lunch can be enjoyed at the local restaurant and bar (at own expense).
You must be minimum 16 years of age and have a valid drivers license to operate the ATVs. Children under 16 years can ride with the driver.Please note: A single ATV is for one person only and a double ATV is for two people. Please do not select 1 adult on a double ATV.
Note: this tour is not available to Carnival cruise ship passengers

Recommended to wear long pants and closed shoes and bring along bug repellent, sunscreen and a hat. Maximum weight can not exceed 350 pounds. Drivers must be minimum 16 year and have a valid driver's license. You will not be allowed to go on this adventure while intoxicated. Lockers will be provided at El Cedral. Pregnant women, people with back problems, casts and/or injuries will not be able to participate on this tour. Mandatory - Closed toe shoes. These are available to be rented on the day. Loved the ATV guide! The only thing is we didnt know we would need to spend with the taxi from the cruiseship terminal to the meeting point. This information was available only after ticket was purchased!

I had an excellent time. The people were friendly and the experience I'll never forget.

The good:
I want to start out by saying that we had a really good time on this excursion. Driving the ATVs is fun and we were able to get some great videos on the GoPro of us riding down the trails.There were a few stops along the way- one of them being a Mayan Well (salt water on the bottom, fresh water on top), the other a cave used by the natives during hurricanes and later by pirates. Both of the stops were cool, and the tour guide was funny, was very well informed and had great energy for leading our large group.
It's actually a very modern operation. The ATVs were in good condition and at no point did we feel unsafe.
The resort we went to for snorkeling was very cozy. And you can't beat outdoor open bar for $15.
The bad:
It's easy to complain, but we had some expectations that weren't met. First, the excursion description had me thinking we would take the ATVs out to the spot where we would snorkel (some kind of remote beach?). This isn't the case- and I wasn't the only one on the tour with this misconception. You take the ATVs out into the woods, and after a stop or two you turn around. You take a shuttle to the snorkeling, which is at a resort.If you're expecting a "wilderness experience", this might not be the excursion for you. We saw exactly as many animals as you would expect during the day near a trail buzzing with ATV and dune buggy traffic- none. The "reef", likewise, at the resort is underwhelming. If someone happens to be spreading chum in the water you might see a large concentration of fish- but otherwise it's pretty sparse on marine life. Too much human activity in the water, not enough reef.
But again, these were misconceptions on my part. The one thing I feel is a legitimate complaint- the price of pictures at the ATV place. Not a single person in the group bought the movies or digital recordings because they were so outrageously expensive.

It was a wild and very dusty ride. We thouroughly enjoyed it. There is a small wild animal sanctuary also. I was disappointed that I couldn't take pictures of the animals with my own camera. There was a phototographer that took pictures and then you were expected to buy them. We didn't. Then we were taxied to a beach bar. The snorkeling wasn't good. Not worth walking over a lot of rocks to get out into the water. Lunch was own your own. We were told we could stay as long a we wanted, but after an hour (as we were finishing lunch), we were told to get ready to leave as the taxi was waiting.

We did not get to snorkel due to rough water. ATV was fantastic.
- Great experience. Fun ATV ride through jungles. Plenty of mud! Fun, nice, knowledgeable guides. Great stops along the ride. Amazing snorkeling waters with tons of amazing fish. Great combination!
- This was great fun for our whole family! The guides were great!
- Couldn't have had more fun! The group was just my family and two others and the guides were very informative and made the experience great!
