When you board your bus upon hotel pickup, enjoy a light gourmet breakfast including a baguette, natural juice, a muffin and coffee on your way to Coba, located in northern Quintana Roo on the Yucatan Peninsula.
Spend approximately 3 hours exploring Coba with your guide and small group. Climb to the top of the tallest Mayan pyramid in the region, the Nohoch Mul Pyramid, which rises an impressive 140 feet (42 meters) above the rainforest floor and offers stunning views. Hop on a bike or pedicab and ride around the distinctive remains of this Mayan city, home to an impressive network of roads as well as stelae and hieroglyphic texts.
Considered the largest pre-Columbian settlement of the Classic period, Coba boasts nearly 6,500 structures contained inside the archaeological site, which covers approximately 43 square miles (70 square km). In the Mayan language, its name means ‘place of choppy water,’ since the city was constructed around five lakes within the dense jungle.
You’ll gain cultural knowledge about the ancient community that once inhabited Coba, before driving to your next stop: Xel-Ha. At this aquatic ecotourism park, underground rivers flow out to the Caribbean Sea, and feed creeks, lagoons, natural wells and ancient caves. Cool off in the crystal-clear waters of this snorkeling paradise and enjoy an open bar with refreshing cocktails and other drinks. At an onsite restaurant, savor a delicious lunch buffet featuring varied Mexican and international cuisine.
Enjoy hours of fun at Xel-Ha with an array of land and water activities to choose from in this unbeatable setting. You can rock climb, zipline over the water, explore a Mayan cave by kayak, or get up-close to sea turtles and manatees. Walk across the trepachanga (rope bridge), ride a bike along jungle paths or simply rest in your hammock under the shade of a palm tree.

Loved this combo tour. Guide was so knowledgeable. biking and climbing in Coba was so incredible. Xel-ha I definitely recommend. more than enough time to do both.

I was really looking forward to this tour but the company never showed up to pick us up. Not Viator's fault at all, but I'd recommend passing on this excursion if they continue to use Experiencias Xcaret as the local provider!

The trip to the Coba Ruins was fantastic. The guide shared great information with us. We enjoyed biking along the journey and the climb was great. There was a lot of waiting at Xel-Ha to catch the bus to Coba and then a lot of waiting from Xel-ha before going back to our hotel. I would say it added at least 90 minutes to our long day. I would not go back to Xel-ha. this used to be a beautiful natural area. Now there are few fish to view when snorkeling and the dolphin exhibit is nothing short of cruel.

We really enjoyed this tour. I read the reviews of the 2 all-day tours and read quite a few stating they would have preferred 1/2 the time at both. While I agree that 1/2 a day at Coba was sufficient, my husband and I in our 30's with no kids would have preferred a full day at Xel-Ha. There was so much to do at Xel-Ha that we would have loved to have had more time to explore there and time to meet the dolphins and do the zip bikes. We chose the 1/2 day since we more or less thought it was more of a children's park, which it's not. There's plenty to do regardless of age. Both were great!

Fantastic tour guide, great shopping opportunity with locals, loved cycling through the jungle at Coba and climbing the pyramid there was just incredible. Make sure you take snacks, because it was about 6hrs between breakfast and lunch at Xel-Ha.

Can't remeber the tour guides name but very nice. Rode bikes which was fun!

Coba was a very interesting experience with a Mayan guide who was very passionate about her history. There are bikes to get you around the site as it is quite spread out. if you are not sure about being able to ride a bike then there are trikes ridden by someone else for you!
Xel ha was lovely and the snorkelling was quite good but after the Coba trip it did not leave enough time to do this attraction properly -
We had a great time at the Ruins, my husband and I rode bikes to save time. Their wasn't enough time to enjoy Xel-Ha on this combo tour. However, I would recommend it if your schedule is tight because you get to see and do alot. You could spend all day at Xel-Ha alone!! Food was great and the all inclusive was awesome....

The tour guide was great. I had to call the day before to arrange pick up. They arrived on time. However when we got to the main office there were so many busses and the guide gave us the wrong sticker to go on the wrong bus. Luckily our tour didn't leave with out us.
