Bako National Park is only reachable by a 20-minute longboat ride from Kampung Bako. Travel one-hour from your Kuching hotel by car plus longboat to Baku National Park, home to seven distinct rainforest ecosystems giving it a remarkable diversity of animal and plant life. Constant erosion over millions of years had turned Bako into a picturesque coastline of steep cliffs, rocky headlands, and many stretches of sandy bays.
Bako's most famous residents are the bizarre Proboscis monkeys, and it is also home to silvered langurs (leaf monkeys), long-tailed macaque monkeys, wild boar, flying squirrels and monitor lizards as well as hundreds of different bird species. Fascinating plant life includes mangroves, strangling figs, carnivorous pitcher plants and symbiotic ant plants.
Unique geological features mark the coastline, including the famous Sea Stack, whilst well-marked trails lead to rugged jungle-covered hilltops and secluded beaches. A packed lunch is included.行程概要出發地點

Only a 1 km walk in the jungle, seen 2 snakes, an earth pig and rows of ants, no monkeys nor other animals. Guide was friendly. Not worth the money. Also it turned out I paid 100 USD extra because I booked as a single person, at online payment the total amount to pay was 100 USD less than what was eventually charged to my credit card, this was a very dirty trick. Viator did not respond on my complaint, so pay attention if you book online.

The tour was great especially our tourguide who had a lot of knowledge of the park and was very funny. Its worry mentioning that the tour is too expensive as you can buy it locally for around 60 euros

The walkways are in need of major repairs. the walkway i was on broke sending me into the trees ,lucky i was not hurt.the guide was no good he did not stay with all his group but was way in front with those that were faster. we did see what we came for but would not use this company again. they need to do better 4 out of 10

We saw three kinds of monkeys, had an expert guide with lots of knowledge, examined a pit viper, learned about many plants and trees, and covered two trails. We were surprised when the additional short boat ride was optional, 15 RM to see the rock formations. The van ride and hiking would be nicer if the guide would use mouthwash or do thorough tooth brushing before talking to close groups.

A good excursion. Great views of the monkeys and wildlife and a pleasant guide. The walk was interesting but it was just before the monsoon season so very hot and humid.
My only gripe was the (it seems) common rort of charging 150Ringit for a fairly short boat trip with, I am sure, the proceeds divied up between the guide and the boat owner. This needs to be fixed. -
Bako was a wonderful experience altogether not least because of the knowledge, sense of humour and sensitivity to our needs of the guide Sali ( Salahin). Thank you to all concerned for a wonderful day full of wildlife and boats, Including the fight to the death between a tarantula and a bee which Sali had never seen before either . The poor tarantula lost and must have made a large meal.
