Meet your local guide at Port Kelung after your cruise ship docks at the terminal. You’ll embark on a 1-hour scenic drive to Kuala Lumpur and explore the modern metropolis during your shore excursion. Start your sightseeing tour of Malaysia’s capital with several photo stops at prominent landmarks, noting the contrast between ultra-modern monuments and their Indo-Moorish counterparts. See Royal Guards on their horses in front of the King's Palace, and observe the Malay flag, first hoisted in 1957 at Independence Square. Then marvel at the Petronas Twin Towers, which climb 88 stories toward the sky!
Visit the National Museum, which exhibits Malaysian cultural artifacts on display, en route to Lake Gardens — a city refuge and recreational park. Established in 1888, the park features a maze of sculpted gardens amid freshwater ponds and fountains. Finally, view the National Mosque of Malaysia, a modern design built of reinforced concrete, and admire the mix of Eastern and Western architecture of the Kuala Lumpur Railway Station.

We had a wonderful time in Kuala Lumpur! Our guide, Henry, made sure we saw everything on our wish list and more! If traffic was bad, he would drop us off at the photo opp and circle back around to get us. He took us to a bird sanctuary for lunch beautiful and food was delicious and even stopped to let us photograph the monkeys that crossed the street in front of our car. We went on a very long cruise trip and saw many ports, but Kuala Lumpur was one of our favorites! We won't hesitate to try Viator again and have already recommended it to other friends.

Our English speaking driver, Mr. Che Ai, was an excellent driver, and very informative. K/L is a very busy city and can be hard to get around. But, we saw everything we wanted to see in very good time.
