In the spring (April-June) the Tone River provides continuous grade 3-4 rapids with typical course lengths around 12 km for the half day tour. You will raft through the picturesque township of Minakami, a town known for its rich history and hot springs. Not only do you get the excitement of some world class rapids but also learn about the history and culture of Japanese mountain town.
In the summer months (July-October) the river is more tame with mellow grade 1-2 rapids. At this time of the year we spend a lot of time out of the boat, swimming through the crystal clear pools and jumping from the riverside cliffs. The cool water is a refreshing reprieve from the heat of summer.
Post tour, you can kick back and have lunch at our river side deck (lunch is an add-on option). Meetup with your guide and teammates and look back at a great day on the river. Before you leave your guide can recommend you other things to do in the area such as soaking in the famous hot springs, eating in one of the local mountain food restaurants, or hiking in one of the two national parks in Minakami.行程概要出發地點
