After pickup from your Jaipur hotel in the evening, your English-speaking chauffeur will take you to Amber Fort (Amer Fort), a beautiful fort located high on a hill in the nearby city of Amer. Here, you’ll watch the amazing Light and Sound Show! The vehicle will be neat & clean, comfortable and air-conditioned.
Settle into your seat at the bottom of the hill and watch as the story of Amber Fort comes to life, blending history, anecdotes, music and light effects.
During the 50-minute show, admire the colorful lights that illuminate the structure and reflect beautifully on Maota Lake, and gain an understanding of Amber Fort’s legendary past, dating back more than 600 years. Learn about the 28 kings of the Kachwaha Dynasty who ruled a number of kingdoms in the area and see how they played a part in changing the destiny of medieval India. You’ll leave the show with a deeper understanding of how the Indian state of Rajasthan has developed its unique identity.
Afterward, you’ll be taken to decent restaurant for dinner. The restaurant serves several different cuisines including traditional Indian, Chinese, local Rajasthani and European. Indulge in freshly baked Indian bread made in the tandoor (clay oven). While dining, you can enjoy live songs sung by Rajasthani bhopas (Rajasthani priest singers of folk deities).
After the dinner, you'll be dropped off at your hotel.

I have to say myself and my group were very disappointed with the Light and Sound Show. It was an hour of listening to a narrative about the history of India whilst watching a few coloured lights projected onto the Fort.
To start with our driver turned up at our hotel 3 hours early which wasn't a good start. Unfortunately he spoke very little English which made explaining anything to him very difficult.
After the show we got back in the minibus and were driven to a restaurant which was the best part of the evening. The food was very good and the entertainment was wonderful. We were made so welcome as the staff were so friendly. We were then taken back to our hotel.
Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend this trip as we all feel that the Light and Sound Show could have been so much better. -
A great trip, fantastic driver, a very good show followed by a tasty dinner in the pink city with great entertainment. Recommend.

This historical light show was overpriced and so was the dinner and unexpected entertainment during dinner. Entertainers expect a tip. I would recommend the local light and sound show but not Viator's tour. Paid 80 over local asking price.

Is it worth the price?
I flew in from Varanasi and so it was convenient to have a driver pick us up from the aiport and after drop us off at the train station.
The show was not bad despite us showing up late and catching the end of the Hindi show... but I could have just done this on my own for 4 dollars a person, though the times vary by season so check this!
The dinner was good but DEFINITELY not worth how much viator accounted for? Also the menu looked great
but we had a set meal. I was charged 1.5 Canadian for a water which was a bit strange.There was a dancing and singing performance during the show which was a little awkward, they insisted on people dancing with them, we were full!

Show lasts 45 mins and the story line is about the history. In places got ott but worth the experience. The dinner stop,was buffet but lovely location and good food,

Amber fort show was great and the driver and guide very helpful. Food was good at ooper restaurant but service seemed very rushed and no real atmosphere
