From your hotel or cruise ship terminal you will travel in style in one of our new model black Mercedes vehicles with full leather & WiFi as your informative driver stops at all the main sites of Athens including the Acropolis, New Acropolis Museum, Hadrians Arch, Temple of Zeus, Parliament & changing of the guards. Explore these at your leisure without deadlines & your chauffeur will be ready to take you to the next destination.
Your driver will suggest an ideal spot for lunch and refreshments before continuing out of the city for around an hour along the Aegean coast line and exploring the beautiful area of Sounion and the breathtaking Temple of Poseidon perched on the shear cliff edge with its open sea views where you can learn how the Aegean got its name, the importance of the Temple in Greek history and of previous visitors from Theseus to Lord Byron during his own Grand Tour.
For those wanting a greater depth of information & guiding inside the archeological sites, the option of having an expert Private Licensed guide to accompany you inside any site is available on request. Private guiding time for the Acropolis would be 2 hours for example (100 Euro). Time for the Acropolis plus New Acropolis Museum would be minimum 3 hours (140 Euro).行程概要出發地點

Every year my wife and I go to a different country. Surprisingly, Greece has not been our favorite country. However, this has been our favorite tour (if that makes sense). Our guide knew sooo much history. It was like watching a discovery channel documentary. We were able to see the acropolis, temple of Zeus, temple of Poseidon and even have lunch and not feel rushed at all! All this and were in a nice Mercedes the whole time! Ten thumbs up!

We had wonderful time with Alex! He is extremely knowledgeable about the areas we toured and kept us very entertained with stories from history and Greek mythology. Alex is a gracious host and made sure we were comfortable the entire day. I highly recommend this tour and Alex as a tour guide!

After spending a week on Kefalonia, this was a terrific tour to allow some in our party who had not previously visited Athens to experience the highlights of the city. Our driver and guide, Alex, was born and raised in Athens and really knows his city along with its history. He drove five of us in a beautifully maintained Mercedes van and provided on-going narrative as we drove along. He was able to answer all of our questions and was always clear about what was fact versus opinion based upon the nature of our questions - history versus current events. He also suggested small alterations to the order of our itinerary which allowed us to maximize time at the sites while minimizing crowds and time spent sitting in city traffic. When it came time for lunch, he made a great suggestion to visit a neighborhood outside of touristy Platka. It was obvious we were in the company of locals in this Taverna where we had a lunch to remember. All in all, this itinerary maximizes your time if you have only one-day in the city and asking for Alex as your guide will make it all the more special.

This was a great tour. We had an excellent driver - I am probably butchering his name, but I think it was Vasilius or something similar. He was fantastic - spoke great English, gave us lots of history, drove very well in a nice comfortable car and did everything he said he would. He was very friendly and great to talk to and was very well prepared. He had a map to show us where we were, a book with pictures to prepare us for what we were going to see and other info and pictures on an iPad that he showed us. Overall, this is a tour that I highly recommend. Athens is not a very nice city in the center, but we got to see other parts of Athens which were great.
We also hired a guide for Acropolis and the museum through this same company and paid another Euro 140 for her. I cannot recall her name, but about 15 minutes after meeting her, I regretted the decision to also hire a guide. She was very boring and monotonous. She ran ahead of us everywhere and we then had to try and catch up. She would stop, talk to us and then run off. It seemed that she was trying to finish in time for another appointment. If I stopped to take a picture, by the time we were done, she was 100 years ahead of us. I would have preferred to leisurely walk around at my own pace than follow a guide who was rushing to finish up with us. What she told us was interesting, but way too long at times and not told in a way that made is easy to follow or remember.

The driver met us at our hotel on time with a very nice Mercedes van. Everything went well and we enjoyed our tour.

I had a great experience with this tour company and our driver, Val! He had a plethora of knowledge about his city and every single stop we went to. He was so accommodating and patient and always checked with us if we wanted to do anything outside of what he had planned for us. He was great with the timing and knew when to avoid the big crowds. We literally got to see everything we wanted to and more in one day! He went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The only downside is that he was not able to go in to the different sites with us and was only able to wait outside because he was not an official tour guide. So we had to walk around the acropolis and temple of poseidon ourselves. No big deal though. I still rate this tour 5 stars and would recommend everybody to go with this company! It was one of the highlights of our trip!

This tour has honestly put me off Viator - usually i can trust them. But for USD500, this was an experienc worth 50. I could have gotten the same experience buying a 30 all day pass for two which i had to anyway on top of this, and paying 1-2 in uber visiting each site by myself. Firstly, the guide can't come with you to any of the places, becauase of some restriction with Athens, but the worst was more than half my basic questions couldn't be answered. Any question I had was 100 years on and off. More than half my question was.. i don't know. The tour guide was more interested in reading her book than in ensuring we had a good time - you guys go.. and i'll meet you back here.. i have to read my book? What? I've paid for tours at less than half price with proper archeologists in more expensive countries and they know a lot. The tour guide was nice, but the tour company should not have put this person in charge. I just finished a walking tour in venice, and a Barcelona highlights tour at less than 1/3 the price of this tour and it was informative, full of history, full of details, which helped me understand the evolution of the people and culture. Athens has such a rich cultural history.. to not know basic things was really disappointing.
By her own admission she said.. most peopel aren't interested in the history like you.. i just show them places. So i got for 500 what i could have gotten with a 30 minute Gooogle search. It was so bad i didn't even go to the temple of Poseidon..i just wanted to do things on my own. I was searching Google half the time anyway for answers.

We saw all of the top sights in Athens and the Temple of Poseidon which has amazing views. The temple is about 1.5 hours out of Athens but it is a nice drive along the coast and there are some great places to stop for lunch. Our tour guide was very informative and friendly. I definitely recommend this tour if you have limited time in Athens.
