The route is 5Km:
Departure from Syntagma Square and the Parliament Building
We will admire the Tomb of the Unknown soldier and see the Evzones, (the elite infantry of the Greek Army) before we head down to
Irodotou Attikou Street and the Presidential Mansion. Irodotou Street is the final leg of the Athens classic Marathon race ending in Kallimarmaron (Panathenaikon) Stadium where the first Modern Olympic Games took place and all Athens classic marathon finishers arrive! After a short stop to see the Stadium and the statue of Discobolus Miron, we will run in the National Gardens and in front of Zappeion Building, before we cross to Hadrian's Gate and the Temple of Olympian Zeus. Continue on Dionysiou Areopagitou Street a pedestrianized street, adjacent to the south slope of the Acropolis where we pass in front of the Acropolis Museum and the Odeon of Herodes Atticus. We will continue until the end of the road and we run uphill to the rock of Areopagus in the foothills of Acropolis from where we can enjoy the panoramic view of Athens and Plaka. We then descent via the narrow streets of Anafiotika the scenic tiny neighborhood of Athens, part of old historical neighborhood called Plaka down to Plaka district, admiring the Roman market and the tower of winds before we end at Monastiraki flee market and the Metro Station行程概要出發地點
